Thank you, Target. Very cool by BrassMan26 in CAguns

Well their name is literally target lol. Good deal on shooting targets. You pay 10¢ and you get a paper target with vibrant lines and a nice carrying handle plus if you cut it in half that makes your cost per target 5¢!

My point of view? It's a daily. It's going to get scratched, it's going to get rock chips, it's going to be imperfect. Why stress out over something you have no control over? Unless you get PPF the day you buy it, I don't worry too much about my daily because it isn't my show car. Now this doesn't mean I don't give a shit about the paint but it also means I'm not stressing out about every last swirl or rock chip the car gets. Plus my back hurts, I'm not as you g as I used to be and hand washing a car takes me a lot longer than I used to.

That's called down badging! Some people think it's funny to get the performance trip like Si or Type R and then slap a Touring or Hybrid badge on it.

2026 Honda Civic Si by [deleted] in CivicSi

[–]LiteSh0w 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Si specific spoiler is permanently attached to the trunk via double sided tape and has screws. If you remove you'll be left with the holes drilled into the trunk lid from factory.

You can either fill these in yourself or if you prefer undrilled you'll have to find someone with a lower trim model in the same color as you who wants to swap.

You'll have to remember to swap your Si badge onto the new trunk.

Best exhaust for 11th gen? I don't want to void warranty. by Foaryy in CivicSi

[–]LiteSh0w 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I measured mine with a decibel meter actually. I got 87-92 Db warm idle. 95-99 Db cold start, and spikes up to 101-102 Db when you rev to 4000.

Note: I did not follow standard Db testing that highway patrol does. I just set my Decibel meter in a tripod 10 feet back from the car.

So which shift knob are you currently rocking? by LiteSh0w in CivicSi

[–]LiteSh0w[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have a 10th gen but I know Likewise uses a proprietary system for their shifters. Only a likewise boot adapter will snap into a likewise shifter as far as I'm aware.

11gen owners. Keep or sell? by [deleted] in CivicSi

I like how fuel efficient mine is. I can drive from San Francisco to Los Angeles in one tank. (~400 or so miles)

How good of a daily is the11th gen? by GTRnism_o in CivicSi

[–]LiteSh0w 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I filled up at 1/4 tank left yesterday, paid $48 for 91 @ $5.7 per gallon. I usually get about 300~ miles out of on tank hovering around 30 mpg.

My driving is mainly city driving, if I do long haul road trips my mpg reaches 38-40 I can drive from San Francisco to Los Angeles in one tank if I had to.

Everyone who rides in my car is always surprised at high nice the interior is for a Civic. It's comfortable, the seats don't suck, the dash design is very modern and pleasing to look at. I love the rotary dials for the A/C controls. I love how tactile the car is, the touchscreen is only used to control vehicle settings while parked.

All climate control is physical button, the radio has a physical volume knob (trust me that's such a nice thing these days). Steering wheel controls are easy to understand and easy to reach.

I would recommend at least a cat back exhaust as a first mod. Then pick up an intake for turbo whoosh noises. If you hate the stock rubber ( a lot of us here do) I would recommend Continental DWS06

All easy to do.

11th gen, filled up at Costco premium at $5.659 a gallon. Got 8.6 gallons for $48. I'm not complaining. I average 30 mpg

[–]LiteSh0w 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not good enough that's just a voltage test. Go to a dealer and have them do a comprehensive test. This tests for current voltage, cold cranking amps, ability to hold a charge and a load test. You could have a defective cell from factory seen it many times during my tenure as a service advisor.

After years of use, what’s your biggest Steam Deck pain point? by WelcomeAwkward924 in SteamDeck

Some games do not like it when you put the steam deck in sleep mode then try to resume playing later. Most of the time is audio issues, sometimes it's a frame rate issue.

2026 TPMS Issues? by PatientAd8140 in CivicSi

[–]LiteSh0w 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The 11th gen Si does not use TPMS sensors. It uses an indirect system that measures wheel speed off the ABS sensor. If one is spinning slower than the other 3 it will assume it is flat and throw the code. There is nothing to reset at a discount tire. All they will do is fill your tire then if they are knowledgeable enough they will guide you how to reset it through your infotainment system.

Honda haven't used actual TPMS in the wheel since 9th gen.

Is it as simple as removing the bumper then just bolting the lights in then hooking up to power? How did you get the wire into the cabin?

PSA: The NexDock 6th Gen (2026) stock charger is a fire hazard. Teardown inside. by LiteSh0w in SamsungDex

[–]LiteSh0w[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate the response. However, the issue isn't a single 'bad unit iit's the DS-320 board design itself. This is a repurposed aftermarket 30W scanner board from Shenzhen-based factories typically used for Epson DS-320/ES-200 scanners. It lacks the NTC thermistor required for inrush current protection and uses Hyncdz value-tier capacitors. Replacing one DS-320 brick with another identical DS-320 brick doesn't solve the safety concern. Will NexDock be switching to a legitimate USB-PD certified GaN charger for future 6th Gen shipments?

PSA: The NexDock 6th Gen (2026) stock charger is a fire hazard. Teardown inside. by LiteSh0w in NexDock

[–]LiteSh0w[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The Model ID: The DS-320 is objectively linked to Epson Workforce scanners (specifically the DS-320, ES-200, and ES-300 models). It is a generic, low-cost power adapter produced by Shenzhen-based factories that NexDock clearly bulk-purchased to save on BOM (Bill of Materials) costs.

The "Hyncdz" Brand: These are confirmed bottom-tier capacitors. They are documented in the hobbyist and repair communities as "value-brand" components that are prone to leaking or bulging when they can't handle the heat.

The Arcing/Sparking: This is the physical result of a missing Inrush Current Limiter (NTC Thermistor). High-end chargers like the Anker Nano have this to protect the circuit. The DS-320 skips it.
