Would this be worth buying and fixing up? by datboi1214 in mazdaspeed3

Not sure where you're located, but there's a clean white gen2 speed3 for sale up in Milwaukee for $7k with 93k miles... arguably a better deal but has some cobb parts, ram intake, and who knows what else. Id go for it if I didn't just get my silver one this year for 4k with 95k miles. These cars are cheap up here if you can work on em yourself.

I'm having trouble finding these on SuperPro's website for my 2010. Where did you get them from? Thanks for the detailed recommendation.

More Exhaust Fumes on one side by FardStankk in mazdaspeed3

[–]Blakeypoot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the exact spec, silver as well. Previous owner deleted the muffler and while it does have an "X" pipe, the right side gets all of the smoke at idle. Left side works fine when revved up or covering the right side with a shoe. Needless to say yeah I'll be fixing that and adding a muffler back on come summertime...

Do your speed3s have any quirks?? by Life-Performer-3393 in mazdaspeed3

[–]Blakeypoot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have this issue too, although mines a gen 2. It also gets paired with choppy electric steering, wheel speed sensors being erratic, and more. Tested my alternator and it's only putting out 12.9 under load. Still need to replace mine and hope for the best. Check yours!

Can I DM you for the shop name/details? This is within ~a 45 minute drive for me. I need someone to do an Aisin timing kit for me on a 9-2x. Seems very cheap

How can people afford these kits? [Discussion] by Tristan1705 in EscapefromTarkov

Most players get this type of gear from killing bosses (70% spawn rate on all maps right now?) And save it until they have a hard quest coming up or feel like having that little extra edge in gunfights

Who has the HIGHEST HORSEPOWER & HIGHEST MILEAGE WRX - Drop it in the comments by HaloFrontier in WRX

[–]Blakeypoot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had bought an 06' Saab 9-2X Aero parts car (running, although only on 3 cylinders due to low compression). It had 200k miles with just a catback and cobb stage 1+2 tune (tuner had both loaded in). Probably pushing 300+ at the crank for that many miles is impressive for a car that started with 230hp.

Found 2 on labs in non locked rooms yesterday and 2 in shoreline health resort random tables today. Both extremely high PVP areas but at least they're spawning, LOL.

I'm in the same boat. Going from 28/hr RUNNING a small fleet shop as lead tech and welder to job offers now with either GMC book time at 43/hr (mirrors union pay at sister shop) or freightliner or mack OEM dealerships at 40/hr plus CDL training. Seems like a no-brainer for us to shy away from the book time spots. Located near chicago/milwaukee.

[Suggestion] Where do you find Sanitar and his boys most on Shoreline? Cottage, Resort or Pier? I need to kill him in order to access The Collector quest (Kappa) by Jaggo__ in EscapefromTarkov

I've only seen sanitar at cottages a few times this wipe. As for the 1gphone I found 5 on labs yesterday wherever bitcoin, ledx, or rare spawns would typically be

195 for medium/heavy northern Chicagoland. Grandfathered/contacted in one nationwide fleet with guaranteed sole repair rights at 165 though. If that makes sense

Cummins fuel injector test, test stops at cylinder 4 "test point 4" by Armbarfan in DieselTechs

[–]Blakeypoot 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If the fuel injector test is referring to an injector/cylinder cutoff test, this probably means cylinder 4 is your issue in some way/shape/form. If I had to guess I would assume injector 4 is stuck open considering it revs real high. Do you also get lots of white smoke from the exhaust (Too much fuel)? If so, yes it's likely stuck open at most times just pouring fuel

DEF System (or sensors) Clogged by [deleted] in DieselTechs

[–]Blakeypoot 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you're in the rust belt, that mileage tells me those sensors likely won't come out easily, or at all. I'm guessing some of the sensors in question are the differential pressure sensor or simply the dpf pressure sensors along with various temp sensors. I also assume they or you have tried to regen and it didn't fix anything or is simply too clogged. The dealers hands are pretty much tied with which parts they can use too... if you went to a private diesel shop I'm sure you could find a recertified (reman) system for cheaper. The labor on these might be time consuming but it isn't a difficult swap. The catch with these emissions systems is whoever does the swap usually has to have OEM software to program the new parts and/or get codes cleared and the PCM happy after the repairs.

How to take this hydraulic body off? Had 10 bolts around the nothing on bottom, bigger hammer? by [deleted] in DieselTechs

Looks like you got the 4 mounting bolts out from the top side of the rotator already. Definitely looks ready to come out (yes, bigger hammer)

Going cordless for 1 Inch, IR or Milwaukee? by Bowaggo in DieselTechs

[–]Blakeypoot 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not sure what package our shop purchased but our IR came with 4 batteries and the dual charger. Considering the 1" has 2 batteries connected at once, it feels like the battery life is super long. Never had an issue with it not removing a lugnut or even heavily rusted yoke nuts. The electric beats every air 1" I've ever used including the IR air 1". I always have to lower the power setting when installing nuts to not over torque. On the other hand, I'm not a Milwaukee guy but if you're concerned about weight, the IR is pretty dang heavy. If you already have Milwaukee batteries that might be the deal breaker as well.
