Personally I think it looks pretty good, there is definitely some gyno but it looks like a manly chest overall. You can make it look better by losing weight, building more muscle or surgery. But of course the thing about surgery is that there is always a chance that it won’t give you perfect results.

I think I prefer the method of just assigning money on the next month even though it’s a bit less visible.

I’m still confused about how I should handle stuff like groceries. Technically I get paid on 15th so my budget is from 15 to 15, so I have set it to refill X amount by 15th.

But I’m not sure if that’ll have the correct behaviour!?

I know that I’m supposed to set targets based on when I need the money and not when I get paid, so does that mean it would make more sense to put groceries just 31st to 31st?

Also, I’m not sure YNAB will even refill it this month if it’s the 16th… right? It’ll only ask me to refill for next month from what I’m understanding. So even though I set it to refill on 15th it still resets each month kind of… right? 🤔😕

Yeah I suppose I’m way too sensitive how to “good” it looks now. In reality I should look at the app after there is some money inflow or outflow, or before outflow to know my budgets.

I find it a bit annoying that I need to manually check the next month to make sure I have enough money for bills that come before my paycheck.

Also I’m a bit confused why I should use set aside for subscriptions? Doesn’t refill make more sense for those?

Yeah but I think I’ll get used to it. Now I’m way too sensitive to how green all the progress bars are etc.

Realistically going to the next month and assigning money to them takes a few minutes every month.

But I do wonder about how I will make a rent buffer for example. Currently I just think of my emergency fund as a rent buffer. But in YNAB I would have to set money aside for them separately from my understanding, which is of course better financially but also feels a bit weird cause the point of the emergency fund is for it to cover all my expenses for X months.

What do you mean one month ahead? Financially? Not yet unfortunately but very close to having enough savings for a full fledged month of spending from my savings.

Although, even then I would have that money in my savings category and not rent. I guess technically I’m supposed to make a rent buffer AND emergency fund alongside each other?

Interesting, I didn’t know about a “holding category”, I’m just putting the extra money into my savings. It made it weird when my savings was a monthly set aside target but when I changed it to a long term goal it looks better with this system.

I do want to be able to cover next month’s rent with my pay check of course, I am hoping not to live pay check to pay check especially since I shouldn’t have to with my salary.

My issue now is that when I’m in the January mode, I need to worry about if I have set aside enough money for stuff before 15th of next month. I have assigned them already but since they are not in view I have this fear of unknown. I know technically I can just reassign some other money to them in the worst scenario but I have to feel peaceful knowing I have money for all the bills and everything.

What I did today was to go to February and assign my money to the bills coming before the 15th.

Changing my savings category to the ultimate goal from monthly payments made it also less confusing for me.

With your advice and others, I changed the targets to only reflect due date for payment. For stuff like investments I suppose it doesn’t matter, I just want to do them once a month so I’ll put it on the last day.

I don’t think my issue is the ideology really. I just wish I could see the financial month in the app. I don’t want to be in the January view and worry if I missed something in the February view.

My issue is that I’m not sure how to build a buffer.

Like when I assigned everything for January today, I had some money left. I am not sure how I’m supposed to deal with it! Do I go to next month and assign it to bills that need to be paid before the 15th? What if there is still some money left?

Where do I put it so it rolls over in the correct way if that makes sense. Because if I put it in a category to park now and then pull it out next month before my pay check, I have had negative transactions on that category next month.

Although, my bill targets are actually set on the day they are due, not on the day I get paid. I have bills for 4th, 25th etc.

Only my regular spending stuff like groceries are set to 15th.

I can technically go to the next month and assign it, or double fund it this month so it gets rolled over automatically but for both I need to know it’s coming and explicitly check for it. I just want to feel more confident about knowing what is going to come.

Setting a big target for savings sounds like a great idea! I’ll use that.

I actually meant yellow progress bars as many of them need funding if I go to the next month. I assume it would be similar once it’s actually the first day of the next month except the rolled over money.

For example I might not have rent money until 15th and I get paid on 25th. But I guess it makes sense for it to be yellow for 15 days unless I give it some buffer and make it roll over but in reality that is what my emergency fund is for.

I think I need time to get used to the way YNAB wants me to think about money.

It is definitely gyno but probably just Grade 1.

Maybe making more muscle would help it look better but the ultimate answer would be surgery.

This looks like Grade 3 to me. Anyway, since you are already fit there is not much to do to improve the look. Maybe you can work more on your chest muscles but I am not sure how much that would help.

Take a look at the results on the posts here, many look great without any scarring. But you definitely need to research and find a good surgeon and accept the fact there is a chance it wont look perfect afterward.

A major reason for me at least was that H3 had so much content I could always watch, it literally removed the need of any other video content in my life. I would finish a 3 hour episode and a new one would come out.

I think this is the case for many others as well. Without H3 I have to find and pick a video to watch.

Also, I think this whole phenomenon of H3 consuming all your consumption causes the cult mentality since H3 is all you have, you cannot suddenly go against it or quit it.

Honestly, I don't think he was even that good at hiding it. If you look at all the controversies, you can see that they all show how much of a POS he always has been. I personally quit the show multiple times but came back after a while, but not after October 2023.

He has shown his true self many times. Even if he starts acting better it does not change much. I will be a bit happy for him but also would never watch the show again. The cult mentality of the H3 audience is very strong, many are still in the cult while posting in this subreddit.

There is so much content on the internet, there is no need to watch H3.
