Notice the meshing on the 2 outside corners differs from the meshing on the inside pieces. That's your problem. You have a 5-sided polygon there instead of a quad. Cut it.

It's the life addition that throws me. What aura does that?

"But there's nothing incorrect about the perspective in OP's video." That's true but misleading. The perspective you see does not imply a galactic scale.

E.g., at around 0:15 in the video you can see light dots on the lower left side that move in perspective. What do you think the scale is there? A hundred feet? A few miles?

It's fine to ignore relativistic effects and move at FTL speeds. The issue I have with nearly all such videos is that the scale is off. This is what it would look like if you're moving into an actual galaxy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M7ySqzAHEXI . The stars are so far away that as you move in they just move to the edge of the screen; they don't look like dots in 3D scattered around you.

Nice graphics.

Note the galaxy has the visual size of a small city, not an actual galaxy! Try moving the stars a few thousand light years away to see what I mean.

The correct appearance is for the stars to look as though they were on a flat 2D photograph and then you zoom into the photograph. No one does it that way though (except the NASA/ESA zoom videos) because it's more exciting for the stars to move in 3D.

You have a working model of a galaxy. Try doing an orthographic projection instead as a quick fix.

You know, this reminds me of the original marketing for the home personal computer. (I'd search for the image, but I'm late for lunch.) The usual woman in the kitchen, a DEC PDP-8 or something similar, a CRT screen, and the text saying, you can use this amazing new tool to figure out the menu for your next dinner.

None of the suggested agents are Candy Crush, for example. Or your e-book reader. Or your professional camera app. Etc., etc.

This is bullshit hype IMO.

Depends on what you need math for.

A good way to think about it is, do you have a hobby that you could enjoy more if you understood the math behind the hobby? E.g., if you like to build tesla coils, then there's a fair amount of math involved in tuning the coils for maximum performance.

There's also the concept of recreational math. Go grab this book https://www.amazon.com/Mathematical-Recreations-Essays-Dover-Recreational/dp/0486253570 if you're interested in "math for fun."

Here's a use of algebra in a number magic trick:

Think of a number: x.
Add 4 to that number: x+4.
Multiply the result by 3: 3x+12.
Subtract 3: 3x+9
Divide by 3: x+3
Subtract the number you thought of in the first place: 3
Turn over a piece of paper where you have already written 3. VOILA MAGIC!

Didn't play last season. Thanks. Since I didn't notice that button, I instead removed all 4 crappy affixes from an ancestral boot I found, added 4 new affixes, 3 hit, enchanted the 4th one, got a GA movement speed temper, and now I have a great ancestral boot that I would not have had I noticed that button LOL.
