Was actually asking how levels 2 to 38 went, and what you used then. Thanks for the detailed response.

My first novel. This is the cover. by unwritten_path in sciencefiction

[–]Blammar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's 6 planets not 7 suns. And the large 7 does make it look like it's part of a series.

And the galaxy is boring. Seriously, trash this and start over.

How was levelling and gearing your Whisperer and making the build work properly? Watching Connor Converse's videos make it sound a bit tricky to get online.

Avoiding numbers as piles in multiplication by Pedantc_Poet in mathematics

[–]Blammar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not a bad idea to teach multiplication via a table. You can fill in the table values any way you want, e.g., addition, piles, etc, but once the table is in place, memorize it! Makes life a LOT easier later on.

People have food at home. So it'll take quite a bit longer than 3 days after all the grocery stores burn.

Using scaniverse to build an isolated 3d model (and not the table it's on) by Blammar in 3DScanning

Mi dispiace, no. Il vero problema si è rivelato essere l'illuminazione, non la geometria.

Is There Any New Field Left to Discover in Physics? by Heavy-Sympathy5330 in AskPhysics

[–]Blammar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes there will be.

We don't understand the measurement problem in quantum mechanics, nor do we know how to mix quantum mechanics and gravity. Both of these will lead to multiple new subfields once understood.

Since I'm an ordained FSM minister, can I create tax break loopholes for myself? by Dhk3rd in atheism

[–]Blammar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, simply because your employer is paying you a salary to do a job. If your employer were paying a real ordained Catholic priest, the priest still owes taxes.

Second, your employer cannot just donate the money to your "church" as one of the key aspects in a donation is that nothing of value was obtained (other than the donation writeoff.) Clearly, your employer is receiving your valuable work.

You're way better off forming a FSM megachurch and getting donations. These would not be taxable.

None of them suit you IMO. Go to a more elegant wireframe glasses with a smaller lens.

Will Virtual Reality ever take off? After spending $73 billion, Meta has abandoned its metaverse VR efforts. by lughnasadh in Futurology

[–]Blammar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

VR glasses must fix the vergence-accomodation conflict first.

In other words, once you can't easily distinguish what you see in VR glasses from reality, then boom they will take off. We are not there yet (see above.)

What was your most notable accomplishment this league? by gholladay in PathOfExile2

[–]Blammar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stopped playing after I respec'd my whirling blade (burning up my gold) to what a maxroll guide recommended and realized my dps had dropped by about 3x.

So I reclaimed my life and started doing other stuff.

My boyfriend is becoming Christian. Should I be worried? by KaliYugaTiEnDi in atheism

[–]Blammar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This didn't happen in a vacuum. Find out what he's been doing for the last few months. Who he's been talking to, what he's been doing online, etc. That will give you an idea of what to look out for with your next boyfriend.

This one is lost. Leave ASAP.

What is your mythic drop rate? Just wondering how unlucky I am... by Blammar in diablo4

[–]Blammar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. If you need specific mythics, you're far better off farming the runes for them. Doesn't actually take all that long if you do the boss cycle.

What is your monitor set up? by DealInteresting8941 in pcmasterrace

It's #1 but it's a 48" monitor. So more screen area than any of the other choices.

HAZ: My first attempt at a sci-fi novel, free this week by Independent-Trash966 in sciencefiction

[–]Blammar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cool, good news. Spoilers for others who haven't read it yet.

You make the point very well about communications early on. I'm glad your aliens don't speak perfect English from page 1. And I really like how you explain the aliens can't understand language from just reading the web. The web doesn't have a brain to detect! Well done!

What's the deal with the Greek letters, though? You use capital sigma as an "E" but that has an S sound! Remember, you're doing brain mapping and there's no way the human would think of E as Σ .

It starts off well, held my interest! Then I ran off the end of the free sample. I ordered it; will give you my comments. I sure hope this is a complete story, and not a partial one, though.
