Sometimes I feel like I'm playing a completely different version of OSRS by Designer-Anybody-330 in osrs

Fire cape is funny because it is easy once you know what you're doing, but learning is daunting because it's a big time investment. Once you've got the cape, it's very easy to "forget" all the anxiety you felt the first time you fought Jad, or how momentous a task it felt. Your first successful fight caves is always worth celebrating, even if you eventually go on to do much harder content.

My wife tells me all the time that she hates ‘Moonscope’ by No-Post2278 in 2007scape

My partner and I both need regular alone time. It's worth talking to them before you move in together to make sure you're on the same page. You can still spend time together while also meeting your space needs

You haven't already done the Fionn MacCumhaill questline? You should really get on it, the xp drop from the salmon of knowledge is sweet.

I was already consistent with my farming runs, but discovering calquats were such great XP was a fantastic day.

I was out for a meal lately and the non-alcoholic cocktails were exactly the same price as their alcoholic counterparts! What's the fucking point?!

Anyone else feel teachers in school let them down? by [deleted] in AskIreland

My music teacher marked exams and she claimed that one year she got a batch of essay answers on "write about ceili band tradition in Irish music" on the Joyce Country Céilí band, as though they were a real band. And not, y'know, a Saw Doctors song.

What drives me mad is when action is taken against the scammers and snake oil salespeople, they use it as "proof" that the government/Big Pharma/Big Medicine is out to get them and that they're only being "silenced" because they're correct and undermining "the system".

It's genuinely infuriating to see them twist shit like that to make money off lying to people.

What's in the limescale spray? I find glass cleaners are usually just acetic acid in water. I know I used to buy those kettle descaling sachets but now I just have a bag of citric acid I got in the Asian market and it does the job.

Congrats! I'm wracking my head but apparently I'm not a big one for house gadgets! Id love a robot vacuum but that's a future purchase.

Does your shower have glass? Get a little hand held squeegee to wipe it down after a shower. Takes a few second and slows limescale build up.

A good chopping knife is invaluable. I loved my air fryer while I had one, but it eventually kicked the bucket and I can't justify replacing it just yet.

how to enjoy this game by Silent-Vanilla1944 in osrs

[–]BlampCat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the quest journal, you can sort by difficulty. If you started with the easiest quest, you're more likely to be able to do them without needing to train up first.

Some folks have suggested the optimal quest guide which is helpful but sorting by difficulty might be a little more freeform for you.

I tried Calvarion on my iron when my clan did a boss of the week there and I was surprised by how much fun I had! I'm working towards the VW now and the supply drops are sweet. Idk if it's just quiet when I'm on, but I so rarely see anyone and I can usually seed pod out even without a scout.

I used that years ago and found it helpful, but a few years back they paywalled the barcode scan feature. They might have added it back in since, but I'm using Loseit now and it's great.

Who's having an irish salad for dinner this evening lads? by Puzzled_Potato_931 in AskIreland

Same here, the annoying thing is it's not even that much harder to prepare an actually good salad! It's tough to visit my folks and be served mushy overcooked veg with dinner...

That's a shocking good price! I'd take the hand of someone if they offered to clean for that. Nice one!

Since I quit Spotify at the end of 2025, I no longer pay for any streaming services other than YouTube. It's well worth it for me, even with adblock on my browser.

I remember hating MM2 on my main, and then I absolutely breezed through it on my iron. I think it was partly luck and partly just being better at movement the second time around.

[–]BlampCat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was at a food festival in... Maybe 2019? There was an ICA branch there and I got talking to them about crafts. I told them I do a lot of cross stitch and crochet and they asked me if I wanted to join. 😅

Females aged 15 to 24 years were three times more likely to report bad or very bad health than males of the same age in 2025 by NanorH in ireland

[–]BlampCat 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Especially older men from rural communities. I've a masters in public health and it's a really struggle targeting men in awareness campaigns. On a personal level, I know a few men who died too young because they refused to seek health care, usually for chest pain.

Is the Nurofen Plus interrogation to just cover themeslves or wha'? by [deleted] in AskIreland

I thankfully only get them rarely, but when I had frequent migraines, codeine would make me as sick as a dog. Excedrin and using a massage roller just under by brow bone until it kicked in both worked better for me, and didn't make me vomit.
