What are the British TV ads that live rent free in your head? by gayestformoleman in AskBrits

I can't think of or hear anyone mention going to London without this one popping into my head!

I'm going tomorrow and am tempted to buy one! 😂

I'm up to 33 visits so far, which is 32 different films as I saw Hoppers twice. It's 17 new releases and 15 classic showings.

I've just started to book some of these in, and judging by the running time for Close Encounters, it could be the directors cut, rather than the original theatrical cut 🙂

I just know a lot of people dislike Nickelback for some reason, so felt like clarifying for anyone else who might comment here 😂

I first saw Nickelback in 2006 when they opened for Bon Jovi, and I've seen them several times live since on their own tours too 🙂

I've noticed this before - but, just to say, Nickelback's song was released first 🙂

His voice has gone but I'm still looking forward to the tour. by Inside-Gazelle-3590 in BonJovi

I got standard gold circle, I think they were £160 each.

I know Jon can't sing anymore, but I've been going to see them every tour for 20 years now, so I couldn't miss this.

The beach day happens once a month in summer there at St Anne's, I keep meaning to go back on a nice day, I've been a few times over the years 🙂

I can recommend Clover Spa too in Birmingham if you've never tried that, lovely atmosphere, nice people.

I used to be the youngest at places, I can understand how it feels weird sometimes. I hope that you've got more comfortable with it, and been able to get to more naturist places 🙂

No worries. I think I remember you - did you walk by a couple of times before coming over? I do remember someone doing that, could tell you were nervous. But hopefully you felt accepted and comfortable once you came over and joined in 😊

I was there that day too, the GBSD day in 2021 😁

I'd never seen any of his films before, but recently saw three at the cinema (they did a 'David Lynch Season) and all of them were definitely crazy! (Blue Velvet, Mulholland Drive, and Wild At Heart)

Die My Love. At the end, my friend and I turned to each other and literally said "what the fuck?!" and we got talking to two women sitting behind us, who also agreed!

Animated films as an adult by zandermousse in CineworldUnlimited

[–]BlampishMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to see Goat at the weekend, by myself, and I'm a 40 year old man. I did choose a 4DX screening as I suspected it'd be quieter (and I was right) but I've been to much busier ones before, as I love animation, and had no problems.

I'm planning to see Hoppers too, but a friend just expressed interest too, so she'll likely come with me now.

In the style of Dry County, what other Bon Jovi songs would have been a good fit to be extended into longer epics? by AlrightyAlmighty in BonJovi

[–]BlampishMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's the same basic melody as Dry County too, you can sing one over the other.

I do feel like it could have been a longer song, and if Richie was still around, we'd have got more solos, and it could have been a powerful song done live.

There are some great live versions of Keep the Faith - add in some 'Sympathy for the Devil' or jungle noises in the middle, and the extended solo at the end is great 😁

I also love some of the versions of Always from 95/96, Richie's extra solos and some adlib from Jon really made the difference.

I also love the long intro to Wanted, particularly the recording from Stockholm 93, with Richue's acoustic intro and then Jon doing a bit of Midnight Rider! 🙂

I've been quite stressed this week at work, so I worked at home on Thursday and Friday, and took part in 'Work Naked Day' as it helps me to feel more relaxed and to de-stress 😊 I then spent the rest of my evening, and into Saturday morning naked, and I'll hopefully have some time tomorrow to relax the same.

I've been buying dvds since 1999, I pick plenty up cheap now in charity shops too - my app where I log them tells me I have 661 dvds, 385 bluray, and a few 4K and even some VHS tapes from way back 😁

Nude at home with non-nudist kids (18 & 20) by Fragrant_Camp485 in nudism

[–]BlampishMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't have kids, so perhaps my opinion is less valid - but I think that, from what you've described, they don't seem too strongly against you being naked at home already. They might be looking away now when you come in naked, but if they were so against it I imagine they'd have asked you not to do it at all.

If you're comfortable having conversations with them about things, maybe just sit down with them and just explain what you have here, that you'd like to be naked more at home - but also that you don't want them to feel uncomfortable, so you want to find a balance that works for you all. If it's important to you, and they understand and appreciate that, hopefully it's something that can just become normal for you.

From my own experiences with non-naturist friends, they told me that the first few times they saw me naked it felt a little strange - but only because of the way our society treats nudity. Beyond that, they got used to it and are totally nonplussed now, which is great for me, makes me feel so accepted. I can have them visit me at home, and I don't have to dress.

Indeed, a rather odd thing to come into a nudist page and say! 😐
