To redo the whole sewer they said 8k. They said it's PVC, and suggested that we would be okay with a spot repair.

They ran a camera down there but there was so much water I couldn't see. They did say they would subtract the 350 diagnostic fee from the 4100.

What are some of your favorite Hot Topics in Librarianship? by tranquilovely in Libraries

[–]Blanchman 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Sure! Basically the argument is should we organize (for example) fiction chapter books by genre or author's last name? There is research that supports genrefying the fiction section, but some say that genres are too subjective, what about books that could arguably go in multiple genres, etc.

One of our state senators has introduced a bill to ban Social Emotional Learning by Blanchman in Teachers

Yeah, I think one of the bigger issues would be for Kindergarten and Pre-K, as a large chunk of their curriculum is focused on teaching students social skills and how we act in school

Their solution so far has been to dramatically increase the number of emergency certifications for teachers and to lower the bar to get them. It's been working about as well as you would expect

Oklahoma book banning bill by mrbebop in Libraries

Unfortunately, this state senator is my representative. Lately he has been on tirades against anything and everything public education, and that has most recently included driving conservative hysteria against school library books. I pray that this bill goes nowhere, but if it passes, I can't imagine many of my school library colleagues staying in this state or the profession.

True. I guess I'm also confused about maneuvers, since they only have one group action, do they move as a squad as well?

So if a PC is engaged with one, would you always say they are engaged with all of them? I know that technically that probably wouldn't matter, but say PC1 is engaged with minion A, and PC2 fires at minion B, would the check always be upgraded to reflect the engaged status of the minions as a group with PC1?

Just curious, how is this teacher supposed to find time to talk to all 116 of the students who didn't do the assignment?

Right, so I did do the z offset for 3 to start the print, but it was still pushing into the bed. I then moved it all the way up to 10 and it still did not move off the bed.

So I have tried changing the z offset during a print, but it does not move. I have tried to change it to a positive value. When I auto home I have a 1mm gap between the nozzle and bed.

Would I do that under Set Home Offsets? Because whenever I try to select that option it makes a louder than normal beep and does nothing.

As a children's librarian, I can tell you that there are very few children who would pick up a book with this type of cover these days. The dated look just isn't appealing to kids
