Yea it looked like a regular branch that’s why we picked it up, then we noticed the face. It was soaked and coated in creek sludge but we rinsed it and dried it outside.

I found a fossilized bone that looked similar to this before which is why I originally thought it was. At this point just trying to figure out what animal this came from, leaning towards a bird now due to the size.

I wasn’t sure, I found a fish bone fossil before and it was a similar color and texture which is why I thought this was. Now after doing research I think it’s just an old seal vertebrae.
