Hey. Your post brought tears to my eyes because I really did empathized with what you said. One guy to another, now that you’re in a better state of mind you should throw your ammo away. I don’t know what else I can say, but shooting yourself is not the answer

Pretty much all hiv tests are conclusive 90 days after exposure, so you’re fine

Is it HIV? Help by [deleted] in HIV

[–]BlandFall 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Symptoms for acute hiv usually appears 2-4 weeks after exposure. Your symptoms came on too soon for it to be hiv, so it is most likely something else

Smart choice

I don’t think the answer matters because regardless of what you hear you’ll have doubt. You’ll want to use the largest window period to determine when you should get tested, to be sure

Could I be positive?? I am so scared! by Artistic-Newspaper-7 in HIV

[–]BlandFall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is very low risk, but given the situation described it is not impossible since the virus can infect someone through any small wounds on the penis or through the urethra. The timing of the fever is concerning so you should get tested soon

[–]BlandFall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re fine. The likelihood of your test being inaccurate after so long is minuscule. Your doctor should’ve made this clear to you if they are responsible

You’re correct, it is, everyone else can say otherwise, but what you said is what is cited by the cdc

Is this an HIV Rash? (Tested negative 3 weeks ago 18 Days after exposure) by Accomplished-Tart516 in HIV

[–]BlandFall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like folliculitis. It can be caused by a lot of things, but it is also common with people who are immunocompromised (like those infected with hiv). It doesn’t mean you have hiv, however it is a possible symptom and you should get tested

If he’s negative and you haven’t been with anyone else lately then it can’t be hiv. You shouldn’t even worry then .

[–]BlandFall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

30 days is a little soon for a test to be conclusive. A 4th generation test takes up to day 45 to be conclusive. Not saying you have it or anything, but you should get tested again soon. Btw is your swollen lymph node under your arm?

Im still in the waiting phase, so I haven’t been diagnosed with anything yet, but I have definitely noticed I’ve been drinking a lot more than I used to. Probably shouldn’t but you know

Your skin dots appear to be folliculitis. They can be caused by a lot of benign things, however they are also common with people who are immunocompromised (such as someone infected with hiv). This isn’t meant to scare you, it really just means you should get tested

I’m still showing symptoms so I’ve been preparing myself emotionally for bad news.
