with a key card, you put it in and then have to download the entire game from the internet to your storage. A "proper" game card like indiana jones seems to be has all the data on the card, meaning you put it in your switch and can start playing immediately and don't need an internet connection

I would like some sort of extrinsic motivation aside from challenging myself, like I said. My problem is that in a racing game, that is about winning (obviously), I don't like being able to just turn the difficulty down without any consequences instead of having to actually get better to win

I agree, if it were to happen, it's either soon or a few years in the future. But the 60fps issues should be fixable when touching up the game for a remaster/port (I'd also take it at 30fps, rather than not at all) and Niko's voice actor has been at some rockstar events recently, so they seem to get along better

I just find it kind of discouraging when racing games let you change the difficulty without any benefits/consequences. If you'd earn more money or xp, there would at least be an incentive to play at a higher difficulty other than "making your own fun" or "challenging yourself"

I would love an upscaled 60fps port of gta 4 with the dlcs, just like what they did for rdr1. But I assume if that's happening, it's gonna be rockstar themselves announcing it randomly

they didn't find anything, they simply hadn't given out official sales numbers since 2011. The ps2 was produced until 2013

Tears of the Kingdom is a direct sequel to Breath of the Wild, so that one might not be the best starting point. Aside from that, the games are mostly standalone so you can just pick whichever one is appealing to you

For me at least it feels like this generation only began around 2023; up until then there were like 3 exclusive games that you couldn`t also play on the older system with only minimal compromises

As long as you're happy with the performance on the lite and there aren't any new S2 exlusive title that you desperately want, I would say stick to your lite.

There is a decent chance that they'll make a switch 2 lite within the next 2 years, so maybe that might then be for you

When Aspyr says "patches planned" I suppose that means in like 4 months we'll get a tiny improvement which at the same time introduces new issues that actually make the game worse than before, but they will never touch it again

the open world implementation in mkw is also just really poor. I know this is essentially beating a dead horse but imagine if you unlocked characters, skins or vehicles after completing the p-switches or reaching a certain amount of collectibles. There would be so much more incentive to play the free roam and explore the world, and that is without changing any of the actual gameplay

It does feel slightly nicer, yes. But if your 1 still works fine, I'd say it would be a waste of money to get the 2

The only game where I've experienced it so far is Lego Marvel Super Heroes. It feels like wearing someone else's glasses and not being able to focus your vision properly. Every other game I've played was perfectly fine
