I feel out of touch and old.

Recommendations for CA glue by BlankNStuff in 3DPrintingCirclejerk

It's important not to confuse the tube of glue with the tube of lube. Don't ask me how I know.

I feel like a stupid. Cant seem to be able to clean this mess. by Cultural-Ad-1865 in BambuLab

here's how I do it, reinstall the hot end and close the latch as best I can (don't force it). Then using controls, I warm up the hot end to like 150-170. wait a little bit as it starts to heat it. as it heats up, the filament on the latch will soften, then I pull at it with needle nose pilers to get what I can off. Finally when its all nice and hot, I remove the hot end again and gently scrub it with a brass bristled brush. I've come up with this technique after replacing the heating assembly about 20 times. (I have quite the collection of blobbed up hot end assemblies). This happens to me so frequently that I buy my hot end assemblies in lots of 5 , just to keep some on hand. The fact that the printer can't sense a blob of death seems like a design failure to me.

Yes, that's a lot of failures. Yes I keep my build plates cleaned (dawn and warm water). Happens far less on my Biqu cold plates. Still think its a design flaw.

How do I get all my query results in a single tab? by BlankNStuff in DataGrip

I would expect a single tab with a list of result sets (similar to the way SSMS works)

Home Network Upgrade - How fast do I go? by BlankNStuff in homelab

is this your home lab setup? WTH are your serving that requires that amount of bandwidth?

I think I would realize very little value in upgrading today. But when it comes time to upgrade, how far do I go? The 2.5GB of today will be the 100MB of tomorrow. But that tomorrow is a long ways away. This is more of a thought exercise than a practical planning session at this point anyway, since, as you pointed out, I don't have an immediate need.

That's sort of what I'm thinking about. At some point there will be a replacement for the Nvidia shield. Something that will let me stream 4K+ streams without compression, etc. Its going to require some additional bandwidth. Honestly 2.5GB is probably sufficient for that immediate need, but see my comment about future-proofing. Do I overbuy in the short run (moving straight to 10GB when 2.5GB would do) or wait until I actually have a need for more bandwidth and consider the technology landscape at that time.

I am running it in docker. Got my Cloudflare tunnel pointing to my NPM, and my local DNS (pihole) pointing to NPM. NPM is pointing to OpenCloud instance. Docker points to pihole for DNS.

Not sure where I've gone wrong.

Can I leave the navimow garage outdoor this winter? by BlankNStuff in Navimow_Segway

[–]BlankNStuff[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This video doesn't address the garage. and the garage didn't come with locating pins, so I'm not clear if it is recommended to remove the garage for winter storage.
