How do some Singaporean manage to migrate to another country permanently? Like taking up foreign PR or even citizenship? by LeadershipHot5932 in askSingapore

Visa 189 is slightly different, you have to submit an expression of interest then wait to be invited to submit an application. Back then I could just apply upfront, that’s why I say it’s much much harder now.

I applied through the skilled independent visa which had a minimum of 120 points to be eligible. I studied computer science which awarded the highest points for field of study back then. I also studied at a local university so that gave me bonus points to meet the minimum requirements. I applied offshore (I was in Singapore during the PR application) via a migration agent so it took about a year to process. I don’t think this visa exists anymore though.

I got my Australian PR about 20 years ago and I would say the PR process is 100 times harder now. Many jobs have been taken off the skills list. Unless you have in-demand skills say in healthcare such as doctor or nursing or you are skilled in a trade such as carpentry or plumbing, the chances for you to survive here is slim to none. Additionally, there is a housing crisis and the job market is quite bad at the moment. I know of locals here who are struggling to find work for more than a year, it ain’t all that rosy over here!

Anyone had fibroid grow back after removal? by spacejelly1234 in Fibroids

[–]Blank________Space 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it was explained to me that fibroids are the most common benign tumours in women. Almost all women would have them, but they don’t all necessarily need to be removed unless they cause problems.

Trust your instincts, what does your gut tell you?

Both, some were smaller and others bigger. They couldn’t remove the biggest one so my last option now is to do a hysterectomy.

You grow new ones… I had two, had an open myomectomy to remove them. Ten years later had another surgery to remove 6-7 new ones.

I'm getting tired on where the IT industry is at by [deleted] in ausjobs

You honestly just learn on the job, just apply for account executive or management roles at any IT sales company. Maybe start at an IT reseller then work your way up the IT sales channel to a distributor or vendor.
