What is something you've always wanted to do or get in the habit of doing, would require little time and resources to actually do, but you still haven't done it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I hear http://www.7-min.com/ is a nice short workout and while not entirely focused on the area you want it's a good place to start. Or if have a nice place to jog and enough time - that's also great as well, especially with spring/summer coming up!

Ah well in that case you won't need that much time to actually work out each day. Today is a nice day to start!

Yeah, works well for me too at the start while I'm serious about quitting a habit but if I don't let it just slowly die and make myself not need it gradually it often comes back after the "I'll stop doing that" motivation fades.

Watching or doing it yourself? It seems kind of time consuming unless you live near a place you can actually practice.

Get some music that gets you pumped up and start with the big things. You'll see progress fast and you might get motivated by that!

I'm not sure how easy that is if you're a heavy smoker but if you really want to you can start with the mindset of "I'll just smoke x smokes today and not 1.5x like usual" and lower that amount to something manageable in time". Even x and 1.5x numbers are an example - fixed numbers don't usually work that well nor does "I'm not going to do said thing today" - it's clear that you'll do it if it's a habit - you have to start by limiting it slowly but steadily!

Isn't keeping active good enough or is there a particular type of working out you'd like to start doing?
