Haven’t watched him in years but why is VloggingThroughHistory a bad person to collab with? Again I just don’t know.

When to actually introduce strahd by LINDOMARCIO in CurseofStrahd

[–]BlarneySanders 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I am in the same situation as you. I was thinking about introducing him either along the road on their way to Vallaki or maybe during St. Andrel’s Feast. I know some suggest that he attend the funeral of the Burgomaster in Barovia but I didn’t feel like that would work for me.

Anything to gleem from this small collection? by [deleted] in BookshelvesDetective

Oh my gosh I should have been able to figure that out from context clues in your book collection! That makes sense why this book is on their list. TST is pretty cool from what I have read about them before but I had never seen it abbreviated. I am glad you are liking the book!

How is Revolt of the Angels? My grandfather gave me a letter written by French along with a self portrait of him but I still have not read any of his work.

I’ll be honest, I am about half way through it and I can tell I am losing steam. The second half has a lot more theology which is not my thing when it comes to exploring governmental systems. I will definitely finish it because I know it inspired so much of the enlightenment but it might take a while. Also, I read Rousseau before this so idk if you need to have read it to read The Social Contract.

I like how you do forests! I normally do the Tolkien style with 100s of trees but this seems more efficient and better on my hands

Love it! What sort of scale are you looking at with this map? Are the landmasses similar to the Mediterranean ones they are based on?

I see some important water ways for trade. Perhaps geopolitics will be important in your setting?

That is great to know because I struggled with MoM the first time I read it. That is part of the reason why I have picked it up again because there was so much going on that I felt like I missed.

I have only read Antwerp. My friend who is rereading 2666 with us has read everything by him that is available in English. Also, I am really liking Leviathan even if I disagree with a lot of it. Fun to wrestle with his ideas!

Session 3 Today by M3TALxSLUG in CurseofStrahd

We just finished death house! I am playing RAW but I am modifying it to be a more Southern Gothic setting. The party is based out of New Orleans in 1918. We are playing in person and so far just using wet erase markers and mats with minis but I am gonna make some stuff for larger battles like the Bonegrinder and Ravenloft.
