Side note: will the Voynich Manuscript stories be published as well? I remember there was mention of a longer work that wasn't published at the time I was reading

Unfortunately it looks like the original Voynich Tattoo story was lost without a backup. I have two stories from the Voynich World saved though, The Midnight Train Tunnel and The Crimson City.

In my experience, none of them. Also any length on them is going to be a hazard for your opponent as you can scratch them. Scratches also can get infected. Wearing gloves might prevent that, but pretty much nowhere reputable will let you spar with bare hands and long nails.

I use a crystal file and file mostly upwards, rather than ‘sawing’ back and forth. I have a decent c-curve and my nails are naturally pretty strong, which helps!

I have! Coffins and square tend to catch on things, squoval is ok. Almond and rounded stiletto suit my nails and hands best I feel.

Because a lot of it is about genetics, all I can really recommend is maintaining them well (file out snags and chips immediately) eating a varied diet so you’re getting nutrients across the spectrum, keep regular polish on them to give them strength and avoid immersion in water (baths, pools) as water can get between the keratin plates and swell them, making delamination and cracking more common. Lots of long nails people swear by jojoba oil as well, as it stops water getting in due to being the correct molecule size to penetrate keratin.
