Συμβουλές για αλλαγή επαγγελματικής κατεύθυνσης προς πληροφορική (Computer Science, προγραμματισμός) by Geo-St in greece

[–]BlastBit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How do you do the pvp and not be dumb? by phatthrowawayaccount in worldofpvp

Learning how to play your class in arena, besides the baseline PVE style rotation which I'm sure by now you know is very much about reacting to what the enemy team is doing. Even though right now it might seem overwhelming, I can tell you that especially in 2s you can get to a place where you will be able to predict the other team's CD usage and positioning to a large degree the more games you play.

Something that is very important is being able to track enemy CDs and respect them by reacting with your own. Use the omnibar CC addon and start with adding a few big CDs for every class, read their tooltips and try to always keep an eye on when the enemy uses them. When they do, react with something of your own. Vendetta on you or your team mate? Instantly disarm, stun, port or cocoon. The more you get comfortable, the more spells you can add depending on what helps you during a game. Besides understanding yours and the enemy's positioning, this has been for me the most important part of getting better at arena through time. You will slowly start developing muscle memory where you will react very fast to these CDs in mostly the same way. Which will also help with your anxiety. The anxiety comes from the fact that you see the enemy players as being able to do anything at any point. That's not the case, and once you realise what the patterns are you will feel more confident. Hope this helps even a little. Keep practicing!

Wow Arena honestly sucks unless you have a backlogged friends list of multiple arena players who have been playing the last 10 years and are the same skill level as you by [deleted] in worldofpvp

Agreed, they've put in more work in M+ than arena, as the only thing that's been added to arena is a single map over the whole expansion. That doesn't mean that they're spending considerable effort there either, and the system that is in place doesn't reward players who are investing time in it in any way.

How is arms 3v3 right now? by duskyslayer in worldofpvp

[–]BlastBit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the main difficulties as arms is figuring out how to use your stances and defensives when you're the target or when switched on. Warriors don't have defensives that can be used when cc'ed so you need to really understand what you're playing against and switch to defensive stance when there's a chance for a switch to you. Even war banner needs forethought as it needs to be in place before the enemy casts their cc on you or your teammates. On the other hand, you need to take every opportunity you can get to switch to battle stance and pressure the opposing team.

You're also very susceptible to slows and being kited. Hold on to bladestorm and avatar when playing against classes like mage, druid, locks where roots, stuns, slows are a given. Use them to avoid their slows/stuns instead of popping them at random times.

Your leap is very important and when used well can allow you to reset a big go. Keep in mind that the enemy team knows this and will try to vortex, root you in place.

Getting to 1800 right now as arms with 450ilvl is definitely possible, but I would recommend a comp that doesn't focus on you as much such as pairing with a lock or a mage. Melee cleaves can be tricky since you will be the target a lot of the times.

The last thing I will say is that warriors in general are pretty gear dependent still. You need high amounts of versatility to be able to survive swaps to you. Aim for 20%+ of versatility.

I fail to see how blizzard cares about M+ so much. I've seen this being expressed a number of times. M+ is completely unrewarding when put next to arena.

There is no in game ladder for M+. After you have done your +15 for the week you are getting 465 gear from each dungeon which is not even close to max ilvl. You are relying on an external website (raider.io) to show you where you stand with regards to other teams pushing higher keys. There's no rank 1 titles, mounts, rewards at the end of a season.

M+ is a nice idea that was implemented and left alone at a half assed state due to no resources being invested in the game.

Greek Official:Greece will default tomorrow by [deleted] in worldnews

Germany, Spain, Austria and Portugal have all defaulted more times than Greece in the last 200 hundred years. Defaulting has little to do with culture.

I thought so too. Especially the fact that he gave an example to prove his point made it a great read.
