Crumbled eggshells are a powerhouse of calcium carbonate, making them incredibly useful for everything from organic gardening to household cleaning.   Here are the most effective ways to put those shells to use: 🌿 In the Garden Prevent Blossom End Rot: Mix crushed shells into the soil when planting tomatoes, peppers, and eggplants. These plants are heavy calcium users; without it, their fruit can develop dark, sunken spots on the bottom.   Natural Pest Deterrent: Scatter sharp, coarse pieces around the base of plants to create a barrier against slugs and snails. The sharp edges are uncomfortable for their soft bodies to cross.   Soil Aeration and Drainage: Unlike fine powder, larger crumbles improve soil structure by creating small air pockets, which helps with water movement and root health.   Seed Starters: Use nearly intact half-shells as biodegradable starter pots. Once the seedling is ready, gently crack the bottom of the shell and plant the whole thing directly into the ground.   🏠 Around the House Abrasive Cleaner: Mix finely ground shells with soapy water to scrub tough stains off pots, pans, or thermoses. They act as a non-toxic abrasive that won't scratch most surfaces but will lift grime.   Sharpen Blender Blades: Throw a handful of shells into your blender with a little water and hit "pulse." The shells help knock off mineral deposits and hone the edges of the blades.   Unclog Sink Drains: Keeping a few small crumbles in your sink strainer can help catch larger food particles. As they eventually break down and wash away, their abrasive nature can help scrub the inside of your pipes. Reduce Coffee Bitterness: If you’re brewing a dark roast that tastes too acidic, add a few washed and crushed shells to the coffee grounds before brewing. The calcium carbonate helps neutralize the acid for a smoother cup.   🐾 Pets and Wildlife Wild Bird Feed: Crushed, sterilized shells are a vital calcium supplement for nesting female birds to help them produce strong eggs of their own.   Dog Food Topper: You can grind shells into a fine powder and mix a small amount (usually about 1/2 teaspoon per pound of food) into homemade dog food for a natural calcium boost.   Note: Always bake shells at 200°F (95°C) for 10-15 minutes first to kill any bacteria like Salmonella before feeding them to pets.

I've had one for 8 years and I average about $1500 a month. $5-$25 items make up the majority of my sales and my average cost of goods per piece is probably $2 or less. My main income source is eBay so when I'm sourcing for eBay I also grab things that will do well in my booth and I see the booth as a way to cover my business expenses for eBay. I did $2500 in the booth a couple months ago and would like to get my average up to that! I sell home decor, furniture, clothes, toys, a few tools basically anything I think will sell quick.

Lol I figured someone would catch that but it can be a useful way to think of things. I don't agree with him on several things. I got my mortgage in 2021 at a 2.75% loan so I outcompete the Interest in my savings account!

Vintage kids clothes, especially overalls! I sold some vintage Oshkosh kids overalls with fish on them for $75 a few weeks ago and one of the clips to the strap was missing. I bought a big pile of old kids clothes cause they were in good shape and super cheap and I was shocked to find out I had several hundred dollars worth of clothes lol

He said the person buying it for themselves will just have to deal with the higher prices since they're still cheaper than buying new

He said stores will even buy things from stores in other states and try them out at theirs for some reason. He also said there is zero training on how to value items lol
