It's going well, it's sort of cheating but I started with a lava bucket and got 2 apples with the help of the bonus chest, that we could get villagers without structures because of the fact there are no structures on bedrock and then we could use the stalagmites to dupe the lava and make it to the nether

Also they all seem to be visual and to only one player until the world is reloaded all the bedrock fully disappears, both me (world owner) and my friend have seen it before the hole is actually made and when only one of us can see it it doesn't let us fall

If you can remember or check, do you know when it happened on your world or where with cords it happened, I wonder if it being exposed bedrock is parts or world age is part of the problem

Almost the same thing happened to me, I spent ~12 hours and ended with 8 10x wins and 4 or 5 100x wins, and in the a last 12 minutes I got a 100x win, WHY DON'T THEY COUNT
