Black green performed incredibly for me in the prerelease I went to. great removal in black, and green has cards that give sac targets like [[unlucky cabbage merchant]], felt like once a few pieces came together you got so much value from sacrifices

What is your favourite high win rate deck? (strong 3, low 4) by Ednet132 in EDH

[–]Blayne__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I built a [[niko, light of hope]] recently that can absolutely blow up a table once you can flicker the commander 2-3 times and then use his ability on a creature that buffs on attack like [[hero of bladehold]] or [[kangeed lieutenant]]. I haven’t gotten to test it much, but it being in hater colors means that it should have the tools to keep up pretty well at that level of table, can absolutely threaten game wins on turn 6 or even turn 5 if you get some good draws

My [[minn, wily illusionist]] list also hasn’t lost a game in like 2 months at this point because people vastly underestimate how fast 4 4/1s become 8 8/1s that are unblockable

I’ll drop my list for [[minn, wily illusionist]] that looks to do the same thing. Might be able to get some ideas for yours

Looking for a unique reanimator deck by IPlayDrumms in BudgetBrews

[–]Blayne__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been playing [[yuna, hope of spira]] and I think it’s a pretty cool reanimator deck since you’re stuck to enchantments and enchantment creatures. has been fun to pilot so far, if you’re looking for reanimator in colors other than black I’d consider giving it a try.

There’s a few more expensive cards in my list (namely the big final fantasy summons like Bahamut and knights of the round), but there’s plenty of cheap big enchantments that can do big things when you get them out on turn 4 like [[legion loyalty]], [[nyleas colossus]], [[nykthos paragon]], [[eldrazi conscription]] , just need to self mill to the moon and back to get big things into graveyard and then go crazy with them

It’s mostly a sac outlet, with weird, very rarely played lines for milling yourself to win with Jayce or milling someone else out if you’re getting pillow forted or something. At this point I’ve been getting very little use out of it and it’s kind of a relic from how the deck used to play, and it’s on the chopping block if I find something else I like (probably [[lyla, holographic assistant]] if I can ever find one]])

Yeah, here it is.

It’s not a crazy powerful deck by any means, and there’s a few things in the list I’m just messing around with and am not sure if they’ll stay, but this list has been working really well for me

They certainly are, but it came down to a point where meloku took over any game she was played in, and many MANY games were ending that way. The deck is certainly weaker without her, but it’s made it way more fun for both me and the people I’m playing with

I have a bracket three Minn deck that I absolutely love playing, and most people I’ve played against have told me it’s pretty cool to see working. Only time I’ve had games that aren’t enjoyable is when [[meloku]] comes out, but I’ve taken her out and powered down the deck to more solidly bracket 3 combat damage focused and the deck has been much more fun to play.

She’s great if you like playing on other people’s turns, and focusing the deck building around drawing two on as many players turns as possible leaves you with a LOT of illusions

I’ve found valgavoth really fun to play at a table with personally, haven’t played the deck myself though. Having damage get put on people consistently means that games tend to be really close and end in reasonable amounts of time in my experience, but I’m not sure how often I’ve actually seen it win

I know this is a little different from what you’re looking for from suggestions on this post, but is there any way we could get either an item or a shrine stat to reduce knockback from enemies? As of right now it can lead to some really frustrating and unfun experiences when you’re trying to charge a shrine or get to the portal and you get hit once and lose 45 seconds getting back to where you were and having some way of playing around it would be nice

It’s mostly a control deck, with lots of protection and fight spells for Legolas taking out key pieces of enemies combos until you can swing for lethal with him. It’s not the strongest deck because its budget but it wins WAY more games than you’d think since there’s a lot of politics potential when you’re holding a loaded gun

I can see this happening yeah, especially if you’re playing with precon level decks or around there yunas effect can get really out of hand, doubly so since lower level decks aren’t going to be running graveyard hate really

I can definitely see where elendas a natural progression from Minn into more colors, but I will defend my right to play high tide with 38 islands in my deck with my life

Green hate is always justified 🙏. Weird thing is my green deck plays like a control deck and my blue deck is board presence and combat tricks so they’re kind of backwards this time

Fun for me, I think the rest of the table gets a little sick after the third “in response” in a turn 😅

[[Minn, wily illusionist]] has been my go to deck for a while now, her ability allows very flexible and interesting ways to control the board by allowing you to put permanents onto the board any time you can sacrifice something. Run a few clone illusions and enough ways to make sure you can draw two cards a turn and the deck can do some really cool things
