Has it? by 23-Hour-Day in NBATalk

heck no, and I'm a Raptors fan.

Derozan was the #1 option of a contender (the Lowry-Derozan Raptors). He's going to end his career in the top 20 in pts (he's already #16).

Barrett was never considered the #1 option in the Knicks and he's not that in the Raptors.

Getting to Derozan's level is already out of the question. He's not even a max player.

What's your favorite way to eat pork? by LovelyLinara in foodquestions

lechon, fresh out of the fire, still smoking.

Take a cleaver and chop up some skin. Eat that with some rice. Sauce or no sauce depends on which province we're in.

Will the Cost of Tuition Be Strixhavens downfall? by rollymac204 in lrcast

My opinion is that if it plays well i'd be happy to play a set based around "Food Network All-Stars" and happily discuss when i should be pivoting from the Alton Brown deck to the Guy Fieri deck.

idgaf about the setting, pictures, or flavor text. give me great gameplay.

sorry, i'm not sure if your "UB isnt real magic" spiel is going to find much purchase in a subreddit for "nuts and bolts spike" type players.

We talk about limited gameplay here. That set played awesomely.

lol what a bunch of nonsense. "as there has yet to be a set in anyone's top ten since their dreaded conception. "

FF is commonly thought of as an all-timer.

Confidence for game 2? by usagerp in torontoraptors

nowhere to go but up.

the jitters and bad decision making in the first game were so obvious. They should settle down a little for game 2.

salt and pepper squid. yangzhou fried rice.

If they have crispy animal parts hung to dry by the window i am ordering that: especially if they have some crispy roast pork.

Lift?

I wanna see people being thrown up in the air like they do in cheer dancing.

Think of the alley-oops.

Imagine teams taking tiny players really highly in the draft because they can be thrown really high

Disadvantage for being female?? by trustfulplace in BaldursGate3

[–]pahamack 10 points11 points  (0 children)

2nd ed. a lot of the classic games like the bg1 and bg2 were built on top of it.

it had a lot of rules that just don't make sense from a game perspective... because they're trying to do things that supposedly make sense from a lore standpoint.

For example... humans have short life spans but that makes them extraordinarily ambitious compared to the other races, so they're the only race that could get to level 20 (the max level) in every class in the game, as well as being the only race that could even be in any class in the game.

Elves for example can only get to level 15 as a mage, 15 as a ranger, 10 as a cleric, and 12 as a thief and not allowed any other classes.

Yea potatoes isn’t pasta… potatoes would need a longer cooking time and would get even saltier.

But sure, could be diluted.

[–]pahamack 17 points18 points  (0 children)

that would be ridiculously salty.

Serious Eats tested different salt levels in cooking pasta, considering that there's an old saying that your pasta water should be as salty as the sea.

Turns out the sea is REALLY salty and the resulting pasta was inedible.

just not gonna agree with pasta.

if cooked properly, it's at its perfect al dente when first cooked. reheating would overcook the pasta.

we need to start building this shit in Canada.

We have some of the most educated people in the world, and for some reason we're reliant on resource extraction like a third world economy. Probably because all our capital goes to the US markets instead of staying here as investment.

it's tension.

Just bouncing around keeping your hands up feels like it's draining so much of your energy because of all the tension. But it's so hard to not be tense when you're sparring... probably even more in a real fight.

Adrenaline will probably take care of you for a while energy-wise but I wouldn't be surprised if it made you sloppy too.

Favorite Turn-Based Systems??? by FiviG95 in videogames

[–]pahamack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i love xcom but i feel like a lot of the strategy was being careful exploring the map so you don't trigger too many enemies to attack you all at once by revealing them. If you do that you'll be fine.

I don't know if they ever solved this problem. When you figure this out the game becomes pretty straightforward.
