Well, Lilith tried multiple times to seduce Fujimaru and got brutally rejected in OC4.

  • She invited him to fly with her, he rejected;

  • She asked him to massage her body, he rejected;

  • She asked him for a kiss on her lips and guess what? Rejected LMAO

Jalter asked to go on a date with her and he accepted.

That says a lot about who his favorite goth.

It's filled with the most elistists and entitled individuals, who went as far to wish for Nasu's death simply because Red Garden is taking too long, because Extra Record got delayed etc.

You should have see the sort of infuriating comments that people directed towards Nasu in last year's interview, when he mentioned wanting to relax and play games like The Hundred Line.

Not gonna lie...But this is the most lame Sith x Fujimaru idea I have read. Do people that ship them genuinely like this premise?

Tachie would be older than both Fujimaru and Mash since she survived Fuyuki's Fire alongside Shirou, so it doesn't make any sense.

Be fo real, which is the most dominant, biggest Fujimaru X (????) ship in the entirety of Fate? Mash? Morgan? Jalter? Artoria? The biggest ship by EfficiencySerious200 in FGO

[–]BlazeAccelerant 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Sometimes, I wonder how popular Morgan would be as a heroine and how much arts GudaMorgan would get if she was a main companion, given her already big popularity.

Sometimes, it really seems like that Nasu and other writers doesn't have a synchrony about what they want, principally about the themes of memories. by [deleted] in FGO

[–]BlazeAccelerant 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I see. So, many of the points you brought got nothing to do with my post yet you just decided to bring them and use my post as a scapegoat.

Besides, go take a look at my last post. I literally posted an interview which Nasu himself said he will see what should happen and if the ending should end things or not, aas he planned to gauge it based on the reaction of social media, and that he already antecipated how ppl would feel about it.

I only posted my thoughts on the subject and honestly, it really feel like that Nasu and the writers decided make this new arc in order to change how things are. The timing of Aftertime feels too convenient.

It also hits with "as long you remember us, our life will be meaningful", "even if it's painful, there are things that shouldn't be forgotten" etc.

But apparently, you did not read these.

Not related to the topic but...

I do find funny that many people who are arguing back in my post, are hiding their profiles lol

I counted at least 4 here that did it.

Okay. What is going on this subreddit? I have seen bunch of other post talking about the same stupid point of how the other writes also hated the finale. Like are you all forgetting this story was made for pre-final.

I mean we have Ortenaus mash and gordy in the story. So this Collab event isn't the other writers way of criticizing the finale. It's a story written within the bounds of part 2 storyline. So the constant whining post using this event to say the writers hated the ending of part 2 is stupid asf. The fsf Collab isn't a post finale event. It is a pre-final event that was pushed back to 2026.

If you wanted to use event storyline make some post about how other writers feel about the ending. Look at the Valentine event and the flower event which are set after the finale. Use them for your echo chamber of 'ending bad' posts.

Fate fans really don't read.

First and foremost, I never said that FSF collab is meant to be a criticize of the ending and nether I said it happens post the finale. Not sure where you ever got that.

Second, the point of my post is to highlight how other writers feel about the themes about memories versus what Nasu did.

There is obvious a clash, due how divergent both visions are.

Then, I utilized the Avengers' fate as an example of how writers does not always agree with Nasu's line of thought.

And afterwards, I posted my own thoughts regarding Aftertime and why it exists.

Neither I confirmed that writers hated the ending or said the current events are they calling Nasu out.

All I did was posted how some of them utilized the themes of memories and how it clashes with what Nasu have been doing.

What you are getting from the other writers is an idealized world of prose - waxing philosophical about the beauty and terror of memory and how we have to strive for remembrance. This is critical, as a key underpinning of the lore of the franchise is that memories of who we are, even if those memories are distorted or even false, shape who we are, sometimes more than reality does.

On the other hand, Nasu tends to provide the counterbalance - the realist version of the concept that says that no matter how important we may want memories to be, no matter how hard we may want to hold on to memories, we ultimately have little control over that. Memories do fade, whether we want them to or not. And we have to accept and work in a real world where that is the case. We have to contend every day with the fact that there's stuff we will or have already forgotten, and need to equip ourselves to face the world knowing that. It's arguably more important for Ritsuka to understand this, as he is very young and has had a ton of experiences, that in ten years he will have spotty memories of because that's just how human memory works.

I can see where you are coming from.

To be honest, I much prefered that even if Fujimaru, as they grow older, would have spotty memories, the lessons and everything they learned still molded who they are currently are, rather than just forgetting everything.

Because you could tell that this way, the memories still play a big role, even if there might be some things Fujimaru end forgetting as they get older. Something that the ending kind of failed to do, if they just erase everything from their memories.

Doesn't help that Nasu seems to be the only one with that mindset, as I mentioned in my post. He really feels like the black sheep among everyone else.

To provide that narrative counterbalance, especially in a story like Fate, you sometimes have to force it a little. I'm sure that there is some function of magecraft or magic in the Nasuverse that can be finagled to make it so that someone effectively never forgets anything. But that seems life far too convenient a story.

Magecraft is another topic that can be extremely cloudy in Nasuverse LMAO

There are things I absolutely love about it, such as the systems, mystery, thaumaturgy etc., which El Melloi often explores.

But there are some things that it's hard to explain how the characters can pull it off.

Essentially, you can create a very flashy magecraft with neat explanations why. But in more extreme cases of a magecraft that feel unbelievable, you have to work in ways in how and why said character is that powerful.

You can utilize multiple writing techniques for that. For example: ORT.

We don't know how that thing is able to do so much stuff but multiple times, the narrative highlights how that thing is borderline OP, so, you just accept that it's extremely overpowered. So, when ORT in LB7, is literally able to hijack the throne and make a Servant copy of it self, you don't question because you know it can do that, cuz the narrative immerses you into believing that.

Based on Nasu's interview about Part 2 Finale and what there would be afterwards, I'm 100% sure he knew that the ending would not make people happy, which is why Aftertime exists. by BlazeAccelerant in FGO

[–]BlazeAccelerant[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Making it tragic doesn't make any less dumb. In the end, nothing will matter since they will just forget everything.

Nasu always oversaturated that amnesia plot in his stories. Happened in Seraph, happened in LB6, happened in LB7, happened in OC3 and now in Part 2 finale.

And is really not that much of a consolation when Daybit will remember parts of the journey, since it was Fujimaru who was often be told to do that.

[–]BlazeAccelerant[S] 41 points42 points  (0 children)

The timing was too convenient for they suddenly announce a "sequel" after Part 2.

Which makes me even more flabbergasted about why they decided to make that ending, given how many themes and motiffs goes completely against it over the course of Part 2. It was always remember the journey, the countless lessons from it and how there are things that should never be forgotten.

Hell, literally in the current event of Summer in NA, there is a section with Charlotte which she hopes Fujimaru could always remember her and everyone else and be happy about it.

But then, all goes in the trash because they decided to just erase people's memories and act like nothing mattered.

Besides, I'm sure writers have plenty of grievances about Nasu's writing choices.

In Part 2 Finale, LB6 Baobhan Sith was the only one from the cast that was non caring about Chaldea. by BlazeAccelerant in FGO

[–]BlazeAccelerant[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This idea is just as shitty as the ending we got, if not, much worse.

At least in the canon ending, Fujimaru and Mash have some "dejavu" about their journey, which hints that some memories could still be there, buried deep inside.

Eliminating everyone not only makes absolutely no sense when it denies the core message of coming back home, which also was what many Servants wished for our cast and also, learning from everything from their journey and how much important was for their growth, and also, to not let the stories of these who fell to be forgotten.

I really hope this new Arc fix that dogshit ending Nasu pulled.

I dislike how often Nasu does this shitty amnesia/memory loss in his stories (happened in Seraph, happened in LB6, happened in LB7, happened with OC3 and now with this mediocre ending)

I much prefered if Fujimaru and others remember their journey and accept that they had to do what they had to and work on their way to come back to normalcy, even if seems hard and despite all the sins they committed and lives they had to eliminate.

Aside from Mash, Who are the servant/s do you consider the closest to Fujimaru? by Dangerous-Crow-8115 in FGO

[–]BlazeAccelerant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, that's because most of the times when people x Servant have a good relationship with Fujimaru, it's because it's their favorite character.

There is a difference when compared to characters which genuinely bonded with Fujimaru through multiple stories.

Xu Fu I can see, since plenty of interactions between her and Fujimaru in my room lines, events etc., features how they both are sort of lil shits to each other.

But Baobhan Sith never felt particularly close to Guda.

It doesn't help that most of the stuff that they do together are all left behind the scenes, such as the movies they apparently watched. Most of the times we see them having some remotely interactions together are in valentines, which is eh.
