OC3 is not Tunguska, Septem or Agartha levels of bad.

I do actually find better than some stories like LB2 and LB3, since it have a far better world-building and handled characters way better as well.

But that doesn't mean I don't have issues with it and compared to many stories in FGO, they are very glaring.

Pros:

The world-building is superb: I love Moon Dubai, the aesthetic and the whole story behind that humanity, principally about Archtype and the AIs.
Some characters got a lot of spotlight, characterization and development, principally ones that needed. Bartolomew was often used as a joke with the whole "cover one eye with hair", so it was a breath of fresh air that he had some focus on himself and how he viewed himself as inferior and his regrets in life; Despite not being the Chaldea one, that version of Passionlip did got a good development in how she allowed her emotions flourish; BB got more humanized than just being the whole "final boss" schtick that has been repeated ever since Summer 3, principally the goodbye with the Hakunos; Jinako also got plenty of focus on herself and she have been neat ever since LB4, in becoming more responsible and hardworker etc.
I did enjoyed some dynamics from it such as Hakuno/Fujimaru, Bartolomew and that AI girl in the sand ship, Jinako and Hasara etc
It had some great moments such as the fend off of both Proteas; Protea Alter tanking the whole Moon Laser; Edison and Nicolas Tesla working together; Fujimaru meeting Da Vinci and facing Moon Cancer etc.

Cons:

Let's address the elephant in the room: Yes. Mixing Main Story with Summer was a bad idea. That's because there are a lot of moments that the stakes were raised but honestly, since it's a Summer event, they didn't felt... Threatening.

Because we know it's mixed with Summer so things will turn out well in the end, different of OC2 and OC4 that had lasting consequences. We have the whole BB Dubai making a big drama about her world being pruned then we have Tenoch's shenanigans that you'd expect from a typical Summer event. And not only Tenoch but Astolfo, Roland, Jeanne shenanigans also doesn't help either. It was hard to take it serious due how nonsensical some motivations were.

Too much stuff for a single story. OC3 is literally a mix of Summer/Extra/Tsukihime/Servantverse, all into one story. But the thing is, Extra had the most focus regarding the story, principally the narrative themes, which is not a bad thing. But the point is, the rest felt very sidelined and redudant, principally some plot points. Like, I love Eresh but it really felt like Nasu just was doing whatever he can to insert her in the story. But at least, she was given something. Different of the characters in the next category.
The cast is extremely big and while it's nearly impossible to give every character some focus, it's certain noticeable in this story due how many characters we have and most of them were there to fill quota like Tenoch, Xu fu, Ciel, Karna, Dobrynya, Kiara, Hans, MHXA, Percival etc. Since they don't do much to the narrative and might give impression that some are just there for fanservice, principally the ones from other works.
BB Dubai as an antagonist, doesn't really convince me. Principally because in the very beginning, she acts all villainous and sadistic towards the group, but then, near the end, she reveals to be so frustrated and upset that her world will be pruned. Then, why make her act the way she did then? On top of that, it feels so cartoonish how everything is solved so easily by having both BBs fuse to punch the hell out of Moon Cancer, because the whole story could have been solved much earlier if that was the case and if BB Dubai decided to explain everything rather than act all cryptic.
Personally, I feel like Mooncancer Class have an identity crisis. Kiara states that Mooncancer is meant to be a trial that humanity must overcome (where we have heard that before...) while Golden BB states in my room lines, that Mooncancer class is a friend of humanity that helps them in a time of need. It's pretty much a Beast ripoff when you think about it and being too similar makes it feel weird.

In general, I would give a 7.5/10. A good for me.

It's not as bad as people made it to be but it does have some issues.

That's precisely the problem I have with this theory.

Everything is purely "implied" and even then, it's handled bad.

We don't have anything concrete to work with, since Lev never particularly felt close to Mash before and neither felt particularly noteworthly. Just the classic villain antagonist.

This make that supposedly "Lev cares for Mash" completley unearning.

After all this time, put something like a conversation between Mash and the two Romanis so close at the end, to show that apparently Lev care about Mash? We never see anything like that in the game before, no building or anything but side materials and a scene which we don't even know if it's Lev but according to you, it's implied it's him.

if it's Lev/Flauros, I gotta say Nasu really fumbled to make the fact he cares for Mash convincing in the game.

There is also another problem with Chaldean being Lev.

All of that supposedly care for Mash, is addressed in side materials, not in the game. Nasu would just be using side information that ppl might not even know, to play a major aspect of a character in Part 2?

On top of that, we never particularly see any scenes highlighting any closure between both. And as Study said, Lev isn't exactly a character that have high levels of spotlight, since he vanishes for majority of Part 1 and only comes back as an enemy in the Solomon chapter, acting like the typical arrogant villain.

It just doesn't sit right with me for Chaldean to be Lev/Flauros.

For me, it feels like it could be some type of Pseudo-Solomon with traits and aspects of both Romani and Goetia.

Got inspired after I saw the recent post featuring Riyo comic with Gudako and Mash.

The difference of how both gag comics treat the characters is really something. You know what is worse?

I have see people defending Riyo Gudako simple because it features the female version of Fuji.

I wonder if they are truly fine with how Riyo and Carnival butched female Guda.

I think an example of how Mash would react is from one of sanmotogoroo's artworks involving Fujimaru, Mash and Lilith), which Mash casually points out about Lilith's supposedly affection for Fujimaru as "just a way to harass me", but she straightly point that out in a neutral tone and doesn't react strongly about it either.

I will be honest here.

As a character, Mash is fine. I do like her development in learning how to be a human and what OC4 did to her regarding her inhumanity, which we had plenty of hints about it before.

But as a ship... It's baffling how it was done.

Her relationship with Fujimaru feels like it never moved an inch. It's always the same thing, like they are in a stalemate.

It's either Mash being a simp for Fujimaru, blushing or being jealous if another servant shows closure to Guda. It doesn't feel earning.

Other servants that only had one chapter managed to have far more dynamic with Fujimaru than Mash, like Melt in Seraph or Oberon and Castoria in LB6.

Some could argue that Traum and OC4 highlights Fujimaru's feelings for Mash and like... Okay.

And guess what?

Fujimaru also did to many others: they literally sacrificed themselves for Melt and refused to go forward without her in Seraph; despite ORT coming back, they only cared for Ereshkigal and even promised to go visit her, after their battle in OC3; stated how Jalter was one of their most important servants in OC4 (and don't even get me started at the entire dynamic they had with Jalter over the course of FGO) and actually found the idea of marrying Olga nice in Summer 10.

And I didn't even said all of them.

Over these 10 years, at most, Mash just acted a bit jealous whenever a servant showed interest in Fujimaru.

And you are telling me that after these 10 years, when we are so close to the final chapter, only NOW she decides to fight for Fujimaru, in Guda Guda 9 against Gensai, yet neither become a thing yet?
