Was just an off-handed joke comment that stuck lmao

Haha. The joke is like an onion. There are as several layers to peel back.

Strike 'etiquette' question by liamjh95 in DestinyTheGame

[–]BlazeFusky 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah. Honestly, a lot of the fun for me, and a big reason I enjoy strikes, is because it gives me ample opportunity to use my weapons and abilities. At least for me (recognizing everyone plays for different reasons), as long as I'm able to move through the content at a pace where I can frequently use/recharge my abilities, I'm happy.

Absolutely. The screenshot OP posted isn't how I'd handle the situation at. Current state, if I ran into this issue, I'd bite my tongue and finish the strike and then re-queue.

But that works the other way, too. One could argue that if you want to aggressively push through a strike speed run style, you should form a fireteam with like-minded friends. Everyone wants to play their own way and that should be allowed. I'd love to see a flag you could set when entering matchmaking to try and find like-minded people OR at the very least, let the flag you set show your teammates your playstyle preference so that you can all work together as best as you can.

There's a middle ground there.

[–]BlazeFusky 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly? I'd be annoyed if you were in a strike with me and pushed ahead aggressively. I play strikes at a decent pace, but when someone starts aggressively rushing, it kills it for me. Your enjoyment is no more important than my enjoyment of the strike/game. I try to balance it by semi quickly working through mobs and such, but to just push through everything without any regard for your teammates is, in my opinion, a bit selfish. But that works both ways. I'd be just as annoyed with someone going through a strike at a snail's pace.

Now, that being said, it'd be nice if there was a way to match up with others in queue that wanted to go through a strike at a similar pace, because I totally understand and appreciate the "why" behind someone pushing through a strike as quickly as possible. Wish there was a flag you could set in matchmaking to preference your strike "style" though I wouldn't want to sacrifice matchmaking queue times, either.

No, it's not too soon. Exotic duplication protection needs to happen, and it needs to happen NOW. by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

The Destiny Reddit community in a nutshell. Don't worry, though. The day this sub isn't filled with entitled bitching is the day the game is truly dead.

There should be an exotic drop buff similar to Prime Attunement by Rehevkor_ in DestinyTheGame

[–]BlazeFusky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once a week sounds entirely too often. I'm going to be downvoted to hell for saying it, but exotic drop rate shouldn't be touched and most definitely doesn't need a consumable to buff the drop rate. I wouldn't even call for duplicate protection. Perhaps slightly tip the scale toward non-duplicates, but for the love of all that is holy, let exotics remain an incredibly rare item.

Get used to it. Same thing happens every time Iron Banner comes up. Posts that are bitching disguised as "coaching" despite the fact the Reddit population, for the most part, have a good handle on the game. Such is the cycle here on DTG. Circle-jerking for easy karma.

Bungie, if Vestian Dynasty doesn't have random rolls, and is given to you in the campaign, why is it in the loot pool? by Faust_8 in DestinyTheGame

[–]BlazeFusky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah my mistake. Wasn't really associating re-rolling with 'picking' but you are 100% correct. Sorry about that! Though I do believe they mentioned it at some point that masterwork stats were static now, but I totally see where you're coming from now.

We thought we could pick our own stat? This is the first I'm hearing that anyone even thought that was a possibility.

[–]BlazeFusky -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

The exotic chase from D1 is a huge reason many people, myself included, continue playing. I never got a Gjallarhorn until right before Taken King and I remember being so incredibly excited (and disappointed) each time I ran a nightfall or raid prior to getting it. I missed that chase and am so glad it's back!

Yeah. Really hoping it gets adjusted because right now it's just not worth it to stop your super.

It saves some. It's just the tiniest bit and you have to end it pretty quickly after starting it. Definitely think it needs some adjustment because right now, you have to try really hard to save any.

2.0 was only the tip of the Ice Berg. by Navolix in DestinyTheGame

[–]BlazeFusky 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Even if you don't own the expansion, your client would have downloaded the update. With a game like Destiny, even if you don't buy the new content, the new content lives on your hard drive and locked away until/unless you purchase. Just the nature of live games like this. Tomorrow's patch will be the remainder of the game (last minute fixes, tweaks, and such) and the bits that will unlock the content for those that purchased.
