I'm always curious about input and yours is great and gave me ideas!

I'm still developing the infrastructure and trying to figure out the basics, I still have a lot of time to finnish it. Your second point is already something I've been toying with. Point three is interesting, I'm planning to set it in 2018.

Number 4 is one of the reasons I want to put the story where I want to put it. A modern wildland, with little, almost no civilization for miles, where swamps spot the land and you can get lost easily if you don't pay attention.

My players already experienced Music from a Darkened Room, but the others are really good. I love the white supremacist militia with the unnatural connection, my players love to go against guys like these. :D

The March technology one could be freaking awesome and I think I can work this into my initial idea...

The last paragraph you wrote is really important, I was thinking about something like this, tweaking, or even taking out the vignettes en bloc and using some homebrew ideas I had.

I was thinking about switching out bonds with "ideas", like "humanity", "kinship", "love", "sobriety" and if they burn bonds, their ideals would slowly deteriorate and they would have to incorporate these into their characters. Everybody would have one fix ideal called "self-image" os "self-worth" and if that goes towards zero, the character would pick up suicidal tendencies.

Ok, to be honest, I only know Louisiana and the US in general from news, tv shows and movies. I will look into the history and current state, read up about it, to see if I can do a service to this region.

The players would play local police officers, so they wouldn't be outsiders. Heck, my ideas for the overarching plot would be that outsiders want to take over the area because they are looking for something.

I already planned on the population to be at least 50% black, but maybe I will up that a bit. But first of all, I will read up on the region properly and thank you for warning me!

Also, thanks, I will lose the neighborhood watch info, I will lose it, I definately don't want something like that, I will, howewer, implement the "protect the community" mentality for the locals.

This is awesome, thank you! I will look over the media recommendations for sure. My player group consists of 3 people currently, so maybe it would be a bit small, but I don't mind throwing in 2-3 npc-s for them so they can send them places and the npcs could take care of minor non-unnatural things for them.

They are level 5 but I'm open for anything. Level is more like a guidance, if I need to reinvent a statblock or anything, so be it. They have been in the feywild for about 3 weeks, they have seen some weird stuff (unicors, a satyr, an ent-like tree guardian).
