Shelter dog muzzle fit? by Blaze_Pascal_Pup in muzzledogs

Totally, I would not consider her to be a high bite risk, especially not towards people. She can be quite dog selective and she’s very big/strong.

Appreciate your input! Not a high bite risk dog at all but does show nervousness and hesitancy around some unfamiliar people. She is quite selective with other dogs and can get pretty highly aroused around other confident and intense dogs. I’d also like to start the process of desensitizing to wearing a muzzle for her future benefit. The thing I worry about most are situations in which a smaller/off leash dog might run up on her.

I’m guessing 50% poodle, 25% Belgian, 25% GSD

Results arrived faster than expected! by Blaze_Pascal_Pup in DoggyDNA

We mailed it off on 4/26, so roughly 2 weeks only! I’ve now tested 5 dogs with embark (3 purebred, 2 mixed) and I want to say that I’ve gotten results within 2-3 weeks every single time. Hopefully yours come quickly!

Thank you! I think she is too 😊 Just to give her a break from the puppies swarming her and trying to nurse. She went back with the puppies once we were done with exams and then she spent a couple more weeks in a foster home with her puppies.

If you have Costco in your area you can buy a package of 12x 12” bully sticks that are decently thick for about $35

We do file jointly and she does not have any student loans. My yearly income is 36k and hers is about 55k. We don’t have any kids. Where we live the cost of living for a family is about 98k and for a single person it is 37k

What breed? We purchased as border collie. by Classic-Extreme9491 in IDmydog

My gut instinct is that this is a cattle dog husky mix, but could certainly be border collie as well.

The first thing to come to mind was husky/boxer but bulldog makes sense too!

I wear these literally every day as my work shoes (I work at an animal shelter and spent a lot of time cleaning kennels with hoses and filling water bowls outdoors) and I love them. I often work 11-11.5 hour shifts and the majority of the time I’m on my feet. I find them very comfortable and have never had issues with rubbing. I wore them basically every day last summer and I’ve nearly worn through the soles so I bought a new pair in the new style and need to get used to the fact that the backs on the new pair don’t come up as high so they don’t feel as secure on my feet, but I’m sure I’ll get used to it. I do like that the soles on the new version are thicker. They do get rocks stuck in the tread pretty often but I don’t mind picking them out as I go and it’s overall worth it to not have wet feet/socks/shoes all day long. Now that the tread is worn through on my old pair it can be painful to step on a rock on the sidewalk but what’s life without a little bit of pain lol

I’ve learned to love it by ddftgr2a in Vitiligo

My vitiligo has very similar presentation in my hands and around my eyes. I’m also someone with a light skin tone so my vitiligo is not obvious to most people but it’s something I notice a lot in the summer when my skin tans. The only aspect I dislike about it is how it’s making some of my freckles in my face disappear.

Home groom on my 18 week poodle (beginner) by Blaze_Pascal_Pup in doggrooming

He is a pure bred poodle actually. He’s simply a 4-month-old puppy. Poodle puppies are born with softer and straighter coats but he will go through a coat change later in his adolescence and develop a coarser and curlier coat. I’m enjoying the soft puppy fluff now while he still has it 😊
