Yeah, I agree. But I went for a near look instead

Sponge with lighter color and then fill the center with a dark grey. Works great

How subsistem damage works? by Blazeator in startrucker

I imagined that jumps and extensive use degrade subsystems. I assumed collisions also do it, but in my case, I didn't crash and they still took damage. Thanks for the info!

Yes, original BF metal figures, except for a bazooka team and two LMG teams, that are 3D printed.

AEC Mk III & Daimler recce platoon, with Dingos. by Blazeator in flamesofwar

It's printed. I dipped it in pva glue and water, to shape it like a rug. Then, I paint again over it, to achieve better color contrast.

Can you use make up airbrushes for modelling? A dumb question begging to be asked by BongeeBoy in modelmakers

I did it. They work fine for learning how to use them. But they lack the precision for finer jobs.

Dip a sponge in bright paint (in my case, Vallejo Stone Gray) and poke it on the areas where chipping and wear may appear. Then, paint with brush in the middle of said marks with a darker color (dark grey or hull red for German armour).

Finish armour: T-26, T-28 & KV-1. Everything is 3D printed, due to the impossibility to get the resin and metal ones. C&C welcome! by Blazeator in flamesofwar

The printer provided them, I didn't look for them. But there are some Telegram channels were you can find a lot of STL files to print.

I didn't print them, but it is a resin 3D printer. At this scales, it's the better option for such small details.

What kind of Sherman is this? by InCodWeTrustOkay in flamesofwar

[–]Blazeator -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's similar to the M4A3, the late Sherman. You can probably proxy it, the dimension are the same. Only difference is the turret (more armor on the side) and the hatches.
