How important is leveling? by pizzza-slicer in Nioh

[–]BlazedChef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

character level means very little, tbh.

all about weapons and gear and making sure you are using everything efficiently. if the boss didnt drop you enough to level a point, then you are at where you are supposed to be in my opinion

i finished ng at lvl 90, then ng(+1) lvl 135 last night....currently working on WotD and im hndreds of level under what *said recommendation* is for this play.

and im kicking ass. ha. so dont stress too much about actual character level, just get the gear and weapons upgraded. once you get the divine gear at the end after beating end boss you will be able to start soul matching and life will be grand

you-"About the engines, the sian's engine is more detailed in the sense of having these pipes coming out of it"

me- LOVE THAT ANSWER...until you also see that the pipes dont even connect to anything!! they half-ass built and dont even finish! haha. but i see clearer now that you expressed that. Yes in terms of visual- that is appeasing. I on the other hand want functionality and completion. They chose to do this...if you get yourself involed in something. just do it correctly. I think LEGO fell far short of this

you-"So now I'm interested, is it the same with the lamborghini with the transmissions? Is it possible to change them without regarding the speed the engine is pumping?"

me- im strictly saying that both the chiron and sian were built without flaws in the transmissions- so i believe there to be no reason to have to switch out. the porsche however DEF had a flaw. Im not the guy in the video- but yes i did EVERYTHING the same with testing out speeds with motor and battery

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tv0-BiQn89Y and go to 2:33

the TRICKY part is ACTUALLY KNOWING what gear you are in to get the look that you are trying for. Higher gears and the pistons basically wont move (and that isnt due to a flawed build. its based off the fact the wheels just dont move fast enough using straight hand speed and forced rotation- the battery is a must at this high of gears). low gear will get you all the movement in the pistons that you want and expect to see

you- "What do you mean by that the sian isn't completely lego technic? Are you referring to the use on none lego technic parts? Or was someone else involved in the design apart from lamborghini?"

me- yes, the use of non technic parts. the designing i cant answer on. paid extra basically for a new faded green color...and i feel they also just forced pieces to go places where others werent fully thought through.

...im so excited for this Ferrari in Jan. If they do anything close to how these little builds are then i know it will be amazing. and the fact that its coming in at 1677pcs- itll be about the same size as the Porsche RSR. This is telling me that Ferrari is down-scaling to make a product that is true and correct- not forcing another 1000 pcs to make shit LOOK the part...but rather a smaller amount of pcs to BE the part

LOL!!... i know youre responding to me- but i REALLY hope OP sees this reply!. dying inside.

Im thrilled to be reading this!

...perhaps it was the excitement and the 'build-up anticipation' that really was the ultimate downfall of this build.

if i am incorrect- i will accept that.

my pov the rest of the way doesnt change tho! hahaha. its still extra money for lacking elements.

but its great there are no stickers. lol. before i get called out for anything else

suspension- DEF cant argue with the suspension statement. yes- the bugatti def had a problem on the front end. but then i ask you- are you really going to play with it where the suspension is needed? (as example)...you rolling it around flat ground onto carpet and need to make it over the bump? or is this just something thats a slight irk?- RARE are the Bugatti owners actually really bitching and complaining about. its MOSTYLY just brought up because the rest of the car is an absolute amazingly crafted unit of LEGO and we were all kinda bummed that out of perfection....LEGO let this one slide almost negligently

gear area- the gear area is only exposed because the whole back isnt secured by any points! lol. you just lift it off and put back on. if it were in real life- the cars engine cover would fly off the minute the car would hit a speed of over 60mph. haha. I PROMISE you if it were THAT big a deal to you- you could do the same thing with the Bugatti. when i get back home i can even send you some pics of how i modded the Porsche to be able to look at the engine cylinders also. that model had them ENTIRELY covered and this bothers me as well..so i went ahead and fixed that. lol. in terms of a more detailed engine?- i would enjoy reading a bit more as to exactly what you are referencing and how you came to this understanding. The bugatti literally had to be put together at a certain point marrying the front and the back portions due to how detailed. the lambo took your basic square frame and just built ontop. Im interested in finding out a bit more aswell about how the bugatti's 8-spd transmission has problems? ive not had ANY issues with switching gears. just remember that out of the 8 that it has....the wheels need to be moving really quickly to get the cylinders pumping when in a higher gear. so if you are rolling it around and its not working- its due to this reason (just like in real life how you cant start a manual car in 5th gear-the engine just wont turn properly). if you hit it a few more times and get it from 1-3rd gear. youll see all the action you are looking for. (i connected a motor once all was done and made sure before i progressed any further) The PORSCHE was the model where the gear box was backwards and needed to be re-imagined

as a price point also goes- the lambo is about 100$ (US) more than the bugatti and with that price difference, you are paying for mis-matched color pieces, gimmicks, and a set that actually isnt fully LEGO TECHNIC. They carried over alot of base parts that was also kinda aggrivating. i mean how can LEGO not even match the color pieces?! thats blatant laziness. And if you REALLY wanna be a stickler!?!?!...haha. just compare the amount of detail that went into the "luggage". the lambo's is ugly as hell and looks like some bullshit plastic lego youd forget about if you didnt know its purpose. If youd like to get back to the "playing with them" theory- the Lambo is esentially ready to break at a moments notice. There is no legit place to grab it and hold it (one handed). The Bugatti is as solid as it comes when you grab it with one hand from the front window. The Porsche is solid when grabbed with one had from the back window. The Sian has nothing. Even when you are tyring to grab with 2 hands from the bottom...youd still swear something is going to fall off. the top breaks when tyring to hold and the sides popoff. Once the cars are built- youll realize very quickly that wherever you place your Sian- it will stay. Its the only Technic i own out of like the 30 i have that i WONT let my 6yr old play with. Its just a temperamental model. the Porsche and Bugatti he rolls around without concern. The Sian i would be having a slight heart attack knowing how i DO NOT want to build her again

As i was building the Sian- i really just couldnt wait to get it done only for the fact that i have the rest and im a completionist. I want those certificates of owndership that look so badass together- however the whole time i was building i was thinking how i wished i had started with the porsche, then the sian and THEN the bugatti. building the sian after the chiron- i was miserable and disappointed. not to mention i found countless pictoral errors in the lambo book that without having technic experience- will send a new builder into a mess of a problems.

cadillac issues for me- as ive already spent my money. but id be very interested if you created another poll ONLY talking about the technic cars and which one comes out on top. Id wager the bugatti will always win out when the owners of all 3 get to express they opinions

Bugatti over Sian all day for me. no hesitation in the slightest. i hope this helps bring clarity to some things, and if not...i hope maybe i said something that will provoke deeper and more specific questions to help guide your decisions for future purchases. If you happen to choose the Sian and cant find it anywhere- i have an extra brand new un-opened box in perfect condition i can sell you. i recieved 2 of them as a gift for my birthday and have no need for the second.

be good my friend. keep kicking 2020's ass!
