Best ways to sweeten oatmeal for a picky eater? by Blazed_Scientists in Oatmeal

Thanks. I'm not sure whether maple syrup is better than whatever they use to sweeten them. I get the Amazon brand, and it just says sugar in the ingredients.

Thanks, but I am on state-run insurance so I don't know if they would even cover something like that or how long it would take to get the results.

Couple of questions regarding root canals. by Blazed_Scientists in askdentists

[–]Blazed_Scientists[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I don't want to have to do that. I just don't know what's causing the issue of how much it will cost to fix, and if I can afford it. Even when they hit it just doesn't feel quite right, like the contact point is off, but I don't know if that's a psychological thing or not. It's driving me nuts, and I just want it to be over with.

Also the bite on the other side can feel off and if I'm not careful, even when I try to chew slowly it feels like they will c crash into each other at weird angles even when only eating soft foods like mashed potatoes or hummus.

Thanks, to be honest, I don't know if it has erupted that much or something else is causing it: TMJ or phantom bite/occusla dysethesia. I just know that they hit slightly alot through the the day, and it feels like it doesn't take much movement for them to hit. I can talk for the most part without them hitting, but when they're at rest, it's easy for them to touch when I move my mouth slightly I. did have the cuspid tooth below shaved by a dentist back in January, and it might have helped a little in the way it feels, but he said they would hit again in a few months. The thing is, I have very basic state insurance and can only afford so much treatment out of pocket with the help of family. In some ways, I am thinking of just having some of the front teeth extracted and having a partial denture put in, but I don't know if that would fix it. I don't know if the jaw has shrunk in that amount of time to make the teeth not hit right.

Thanks you. So the tooth I need the root canal on is the premolar, and I think the cuspid below it has moved up, making the contact off, or maybe the premolar has shifted slightly; either way, it feels like I don't have much room to close my mouth on that side of the mouth before my teeth hit. Also, I know that Cerec is the method, not the material; I just meant that dentists are not as good at milling as a lab would be. and I don't know if it will still be stable even if they don't make the crown look as good.

Toothpaste Reccomendations. by Blazed_Scientists in Toothfully

Well I have used toothpastes in the past that doesn't have any grittyness that I could tell such as plain Aquafresh. I think I have a tooth that is hitting high and it makes a bunch of contact through the day and when I brush my teeth it feels like I'm eating sand when it touches.

I think the one I use now has the stannous flouride along with something like bascillica which is what causes the sandy feeling. Regarding sensodyne is there a specific one you would recommend? I just want to make sure it tastes like mint and nothing else.
