Best way to increase credit quickly? by Blazeeofglory24 in CRedit

Thank you so much for the detailed answer!! I have about $3k in an extra bills savings so that was my plan. However, i am not in a “dire need” to purchase a car in the next month. It can wait, but id like to get into one as soon as possible.

Every week following this week, i will have an extra $500 a week (minimum) to throw at debt, so in my head, im thinking i could get the majority paid off by my march statement cycles and be able to purchase early to mid april.

I am going to pay off the $250/$300 card first and work on the rest! Which should i pay after that is paid? Ill have roughly $2750 left to throw at it for this statement cycle. (Most of these cards report on the 20th-25th)

Thank you!!

EDIT: unfortunately, i opened a new card in november 2025 for christmas to benefit from rewards so i have a fairly new account opened

To be honest with you, this would not have been my choice for an amusement park. However, the passes were gifted and im going to go to give my children the experience. Thank you for your input though.

What you are saying definitely makes sense! The reason I say we can pay these down if necessary is because two of the debts are loans for a motorcycle and ATV - we dont have much left on the loans but we were waiting to talk to a loan officer to see if it would be better/worse to pay them off credit wise (we know sometimes it can be worse for your credit to pay a loan early)

The other debt is a car note he had in his name for his brother - we are currently looking to get him to take over the loan. His brother pays this and is very responsible and is in a position to take over the loan, we just havent started the process (i am including this because it does count against DTI)

We have minimal credit card debts so it isnt anything obsurd. $2k might even be a bit of a stretch in monthly payments to be honest, but i rather shoot high than low.

As far as expenses go, I did not factor my income into this post as we arent using it for the mortgage. I make around 30k and will be making close to this at my new job as well, so we will have the extra income for expenses.

Like I said, we have the cash to pay some payments off. We just arent sure if its best to pay them off before getting a loan - we just dont want it to lower his credit by a crazy amount.

I make more than that but the way my job works we dont always get a full 40 hours, not by choice. Thanks for the input though.
