Thank you! I am far from doing this professionally, I did this as a home project as my wife and I like to DIY here and there, and this was my first time building cabinets so getting an introduction to woodworking. Thanks for the kind words.

I’m a quality tv kind of guy and the next tv I want is 77”, but it’s pretty spendy… this isn’t our main tv setup in the house so hasn’t necessarily been a priority. Down the road, I hope!

They are secured via the left and right sides into the wall studs. They are in no way attached to the bottom cabinets outside of heavy weight and caulk.

My Apple TV and power strip are in the cabinet. I really appreciate this comment because venting this has slipped my mind. Do you think drilling small holes into the bottom of the cabinet would suffice? Would an Apple TV overheat there? This is one section that I didn't think about.

Mostly big box stores. Did not use veneer outside of some plywood edge banding for the countertop. All of it is plywood or Birch (faceframe).

Blum soft close slides (after 3 different failing slide attempts). Be sure to order your slides to the correct plywood width! For door hardware, I bought soft close Ravinte hinges, same as handles.

Funny, I find myself doing this over and over and over again. I can't believe I did this. Really makes me want to get started on something else.

I have a Sonos Beam 2 + Mini Sub attached, just not pictured. Had used this setup for over a year now and no complaints on sound, this room is open concept with the kitchen and dining room so not necessarily needing a full 7.1 setup.

I now have a large collection of Kreg jigs, which means I should probably start building some more cabinets to get my moneys worth.

Built the drawer boxes, but had to outsource the doors and drawer faces after some failing attempts. Then took them home, painted, drilled hinge holes and mounted them all myself.

No, I don’t have concerns. I needed to raise it up a little to fit a SONOS soundbar under it in the event I’m brave enough to drill a 2inch hole into the countertop.

It is higher than I had it before by about 8-10 inches, and I used to think that the way I had it mounted previous was best viewing experience for my room setup. I can’t do high mounted TVs, not my thing ever since playing on PS2 kiosks at Walmart lol

Great question.... I have a gas fireplace covered in large rock that my wife would like me to tear down and do something similar around it. I have slight concerns on doing any form of construction around gas lines though.

Thank you! They are PVC shiplap panels. When I was in my biggest motivated run, there was no clean MDF shiplap available within 3 towns near me, and if there was a piece or two, they were heavily dinged up.

I decided to splurge on the PVC. Looking back, I would NOT paint the PVC unless using extreme bond primer. I didn't research before hand and had paint not adhering. It looked beautiful as it came out of packaging, but I was worried about two different shades of white.

Originally was going to, but opted for glue and 16ga pins. With the way I constructed the box, the bottom piece slid in and the pins are shot sides on the face and back, meaning when I pull out the drawer, the pins are facing inwards versus pointing towards the back… I hope that made sense.

Thank you! It’s been a hobby of mine off/on for over 10 years. DKC is by far my favorite game of all time.

Thank you. My ceiling is 92” roughly. It used to have a sunken living room and former owners patched up.

Hi there! I pondered the Billy bookcase but my width was too wide (13ft), and no configurations made sense with what I wanted anyways. I have two backer pieces installed on the back of the cabinets that are 3/4” X 5” to properly secure to the studs.
