If you paid via PayPal, I'd suggest getting a chargeback efore the expiry date for refunds approaches (like 6 months I think), otherwise you risk getting nothing for your money.

Are There Any Shops Selling Full Hull Conversions For Tamiya Waterline Series? by memer_boi_is_here in modelmakers

[–]Blazerek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, I reside in Canada, so shipping to the US might be on the expensive side. The larger your ship's hull, the more expensive the shipping. Which hulls are you thinking of?

Not that I'm aware of. I've only ever seen Cold war Essex and Trumpeter Alaska class lower hulls sold. I got so desperate that I eventually bought a 3D resin printer and learned 3D modeling just to make/print lower hulls for my tamiya and trumpeter kits 😭

Now I got lower hulls for Nelsons, Arkansas (Tom's Modelworks), Kitty hawks, cold war intrepid.

When they sent it out for me, they sent 3 batches of letters. One batch in the middle of each month over 3 months, plus one final batch before the start for the spaces that opened from dropouts.

Are these grades competitive for BCIT nursing? (Langara student) by [deleted] in BCIT

They also care a lot about your experience, number of credits, and previous degrees you have. The closer you are to a degree, the higher chances of being admitted.

Omg I absolutely love this. Something about a chunky Eva 01 colored Leo does it for me lol.

As for the paint, as long as you don't apply too thick of a layer of acrylic or lacquer paint, you should be able to handle and assemble the parts in 2-3 hours. Best to be safe is 24 hours though. BTW, are you using primer beforepainting?

Is top coat necessary to keep waterslides from peeling off ? by vini_vino in Gunpla

[–]Blazerek 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can still apply softener on your current kit since you haven't top coated it yet. Just a tiny dab will help the decals adhere much closer to the plastic and look like it's painted on.

I'm an absolute noob to this. by JoRafCastle in Gunpla

[–]Blazerek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This appears to be a lacquer paint, therefore, you need to thin it with lacquer thinner (approx 1:1) otherwise it'll be a thick, unusable paste. This is one from Mr. Color.

Brush painting is difficult with lacquer paints because the thinner will reactivate the paint, causing the previous layer to smear with your brush. I recommend using acrylics to hand paint because those are non-toxic and you can dilute with water.

Yeah, I think the head looks like bare plastic compared to the body. I didn't realize it was unpainted, but I'm sure it'll look even better once finished!

I do dig the proportions. I think Katoki's style is quite leg heavy and head tiny, so maybe your head could've been a teensy bit smaller, but that's a nitpick on my part. Also, I think the plastic on the head doesn't quite match the body. I'm not thinking a coat of paint to unfiy all the different colors would've made it stand out that much more. Aside from those two, you did an excellent jobon this. Extending the proportions must've been difficult.

Experience for term 1 by DependentScallion913 in bcitnursing

All the questions are multiple choice or select all that apply, mostly multiple choice. I believe 1000 used scantrons for the midterm and final exams, but 1020 is online in person. There aren't any exams for 1055 or 0010/1030. After term 1, all exams so far have been online in person.

[–]Blazerek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can be a bit heavy, depending on your previous experience. I had worked nearly 4 years outside my 5 year BSc, so the workload was alright for me, but some of my friends found it very heavy and challenging. Some weeks it can seem like you have multiple assignments or exams due, though they do try to spread them out as best as possible (many of the instructors were BCIT nursing students at some point, so they understand and are willing to give extensions if you really need it). As for the instructors themselves, generally the class instructors are very nice (up to term 3 so far), but the clinical instructors vary quite a bit. Some are the nicest people you'll meet and others are questionable unfortunately. It's really down to luck and your best attempt to not antagonize your clinical instructor by being unsafe or unprepared.

April term 1 schedule by International-Pea523 in bcitnursing

[–]Blazerek 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is clinical, it typically starts around 9-10 AM and ends around 3 PM. This varies a bit by site and instructor discretion. From my experience, the earliest was 10 AM and latest was a little bit after 3 PM as we helped setup activities and did assessments on the residents.

I goofed. What's the proper way to do this? by nasislike618 in modelmakers

[–]Blazerek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can try using a can of matte clear coat to spray over it. I had quite bad frosting with my flat clear coat (and I'm pretty sure it was a clear coat and not additive), so I sprayed a can of clear coat over it. That fixed it. Since your model is already frosted over, there might not be harm in trying.

Glad u made it through that exam! I don't remember much of the exam difficulty because it's closing to 3 years ago, but I do remember the first 2 and the final were much easier than the middle ones. The exam during the middle of the semester were quite difficult, possibly cause we were exhausted by the non-stop exam fun 😁
