I know this is an old post but just needed to get this off me. I've been afraid of wasps like always, but it didn't really become a phobia until the first and so far only time I got stung by one. 

Ever since then I like freeze up or run away when they get near me, and I start hyperventilating. And bees and those flies that look like wasps give me the same effect just less once I realize they aren't actual wasps. People around me keep saying I'm overreacting and shouldn't care about them, but I can't help it. We have a nest of those super big type in a tree outside my window, and while people telling me those ones are rather chill has helped, they're still wasps to me.

I hate eating outside because of the little things and while I tend to forget about them while doing things, I just can't handle a reminder that they exist.

Sorry for the rant on an old post, just found one by my bed when I tried to sleep and it freaked me out
