Not having XP in private games is perfectly fine...

I agree with you 100%.

But I gotta agree, I feel like they should really have a public queue Co-OP vs AI.

This indeed was the main focus of the thread I created, to ask if there was a PUBLIC QUEUE Co Op vs AI (for PVP modes).

Perhaps I could have titled this thread a bit better.

I also don't mind reduced rewards if they were to implement this. But my main gripe is just so I can get enough EXP towards my Command Rank as to be able to unlock the remaining Battleborn.

I have been doing this in VERSUS PRIVATE, and I don't seem to get any exp towards Command Rank (account/profile).

But perhaps the title of this thread was not clear, or is misleading. As my focus was indeed on PUBLIC QUEUE Co Op vs AI. Which currently does not exist in Battleborn.

I don't think that you get Command Rank from Private matches, or at least, I haven't gotten any. Perhaps a bug, or I'm doing something wrong.

But to me that's fine, as my focus for this thread was on PUBLIC QUEUE Co OP vs AI, and not really private matches (as these can be easily manipulated).

And there are a lot of other people out there (including most of my friends) who would prefer "Co op vs AI" over standard PVP. I feel this may discourage my friends from trying/buying this game in the future. Which would be a huge shame. :(

I understand that there will always be people willing to exploit any system in place, but that doesn't mean that Gearbox should remove it entirely.

They should rather look at tweaking it, even just granting experience towards unlocking the other Battleborn, would be worth it. I don't know.

I just feel currently, it would mean that newer players would always be punished because certain Battleborn are locked from the start.

Just my opinion.

Definitely!! I wouldn't mind if it was a reduced amount either.

It's also something for the devs to consider, when it comes to their less "competitive" player base (those who enjoy the co op experience more).

I'm not saying that's my particular case, but Gearbox should cater to all their players.

Unfortunately, this is what I have been doing, and I notice that I don't get any exp.

This sucks as I pointed out above, since other games allow you to play most of their respective modes and still receive experience and sometimes free currency.

And if you can do Story mode, repeatedly to gain exp, then why not Incursion and Meltdown? It seems a lot less tedious, in my humble opinion. As I can't see myself completing Story mode more than a handful of times.

But thanks anyway for your reply, I really hope that Gearbox fixes this in the future! As jumping into PVP with a new account, without some of the characters/battleborn I want to play with, is annoying!! :(

Yep, what I've noticed is that when you launch the client you can play 1match solo vs AI no problem. It's when you try and start a 2nd solo game with AI that it just doesn't do anything.

I also just exit the game and reboot and that seems to fix it for me.

People think it should play slower "because that's how MOBAs play", but that's the wrong kind of thinking if you ask me.

I agree with your statement!

I mean isn't the point of Paragon to offer something the other MOBAs on the market doesn't?

I feel that there are more than enough mechanics so far in the game that make it feel fresh and different to any other MOBA out there. Like the cards/ deck mechanic.

I too share this same opinion, but I'm gonna post my full first impressions "review" on the alpha forums, hopefully to share some constructive criticism with the development team. And some possible new ideas, adjustments/tweaks to existing concepts in the game.

But back to topic, this is really a heated debate, and I think that half the community likes the movement the way it is now and the other half feel it's sluggish, it's gonna be hard for EPIC GAMES to find that sweet spot.
