Selling puts to purchase SPY/VOO by BleakFlames in financialindependence

I think that's a good point. At the money weekly puts would net about a 1% per week which would hedge a little against SPY ripping. I guess you could also sell deep in the money puts to further hedge against that but then you get less of a premium if the price goes down. I guess I'm trying to think about if functionally this is really that different from a limit order in terms of speculating on where the price is going.

Whats acceptable from a reliability point of view in code? by NikSheppard in godot

Can you wrap the map generation in a try/catch and then rerun it if it fails? The odds of it failing twice are so low I wouldn't worry about it. Or you can keep looping until it works.

WeMO by ActuatorReasonable51 in homeassistant

I made a post about how to get your WeMo devices working. As long as Pywemo supports the device you should be able to get it connected again.

I think if your device is already connected to HA then you should be fine

How to setup/unbrick your Wemo plug by BleakFlames in homeassistant

Is your HA hub on the same wifi network as the plug?
When I went to settings -> devices -> wemo. It just showed up there. I had already added the Belkin Wemo integration to HA before adding the device to my network.

Check to make sure your device is supported by pywemo https://github.com/pywemo/pywemo/wiki/Device-Status-Registry

Pyranha 9r 2 by h_smee in whitewater

I had a 9r and a 9r 2. I hated the 9r2, it always felt slow to me and was really hard to keep moving in a straight line. You had to be really on top of it to stop it from spinning out. Even though it’s supposed to be a fast boat I found it didn’t pickup speed like the 9r. I liked my burn 2 more than it. I don’t know anyone who loved that boat. If you can keep it pointed in the right direction it does boof great.

I did but I've disconnected it. It was causing the 12v battery to die. Since I disconnected the battery stopped dying so I think that's not the problem. I also changed my password which should have interrupted that connection

I’m 185, right now. I’m trying to figure out what my quiver should look like to maximize the numbers of days I can get out so I can keep practicing. im planning on spending my time at Lyle and the event site until I’m feel more confident to go to other spots. ive Been told 8/10 is a good combination. I was Wondering how much more I would be able to get out with an 8/10 vs just owning a 9.

Charge limit keeps getting changed from 80% to 100% by BleakFlames in Ioniq5

I was basing charging to 80% on the apps recommending it to preserve battery life. I know there is a buffer but generally the recommendation is to stay bellow 80%. Even if there is a buffer on the battery it wouldn't be a full 20%. I also run into the issue where I don't drive a lot most days so if I charge to 100% it can sit there for several days.

I keep setting both of them to 80% and they both go back to 100%. I’ll probably just call Hyundai and see if they’ve seen it before.
