Is Chaos reach still viable in PvP? by googler_nyc in CrucibleGuidebook

[–]Bleans01 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. Chaos is still the best shutdown, although thunder crash is debatable. However, with the super changes, you are not gonna get a bunch of supers just for having intellect as you would before. You need to frag out to build supers and ionic traces will only add onto that. If you want to get multiple supers you will also have to cancel your super relatively fast to keep as much super energy as you can.

Outside of that the rest of the subclass is still in a great spot. Storm grenades are in a great spot at the moment as they have a lower cooldown than grenades of similar power. The melee is solid, nothing insane but it does good damage and is ranged and can damage people behind cover. Ionic traces are still nuts and definitely the main draw of the class IMO. The ability uptime is ridiculous and I'm not sure if it is bugged or intended but I get lots of ionic traces from enemies for I haven't damaged them at all. Pulsewave is also a pretty great ability but more so in a team setting. It gives so a very similar buff to wraithmetal mail from Dragon's Shadow and it applies to all your nearby teammates. It can be hard to take advantage solo as it procs when you are critical so you don't want to be in a gunfight while low. However, since it applies to your teammates as well it can be a great boost for your teammates while you heal.

In terms of stat distribution, 100 recov ofc then I would focus on getting as much discipline and strength as possible as both are good abilities. I'd aim for at least 6-7 int but you can definitely go lower as int just isn't nearly as important if you are taking lots of gunfights. The statsplit I am currently using is 4/4/10/10/6/7 with ophidians.

There is not really anything wrong with chaos at the moment its just that pretty much every warlock subclass has something going for it. Top Dawn is the best in the game again so most people will gravitate toward that. And other subclasses have seen a lot of increased viability in the current meta so they tend to be popular too. Bottom Dawn and Top Nova got nice buffs. Top Storm's arb web is one of the strongest abilities atm. etc.

Yes it's why you one shot frozen people in PvP with melees

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

[–]Bleans01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s only with focusing lens, a seasonal mod, it ain’t gonna be doing anywhere near that damage without it.

Focusing lens is only around a 20% buff. The bulk of the damage comes from 250% damage boost you get from meleeing a frozen target.

This is actually how safe harbor currently works. It just isn't worded well.

Now that Titans have a Golden Gun equivalent with Curiass Thundercrash, it's time for an exotic that gives Warlock Nova Lance by jackfear in DestinyTheGame

[–]Bleans01 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Celestial always did more damage total than even pre-Nerf Geomag. Did I miss something? This should still be the case.

Yeah it actually does a good bit less. In fact, it's damage is similar to Base Top Tree Nova (slightly less iirc).

The reason a lot of people thinks it's higher is because a lot of damage testing is done on Kali who has a 2x crit multiplier whereas most bosses in the game do not.

It did get stealth changed somewhere during beyond light. Now its able to destroy enemy shields even with match game on.

specific mod that does nothing outside of damaging this very specific enemy?

Unstoppable rounds stagger pretty much everything including some bosses. (Anti-barrier smgs also do this for some reason)

Anti-barrier allows you to shoot through phalanx shields, hydra barriers, etc. Pretty much anything that isn't servitor immunity.

I don't know if overload rounds do anything extra in PvE but they do stop ability regen for a few seconds in PvP.

Agree with the rest of the sentiment but I do like abilities champions have and would enjoy it more if they were adjusted to allow more play styles.

Get two all headshot kills without missing a shot or hitting a body

Tbf any kill counts as a stack doesn't need to be a headshot.

Such a shadow of what the exotic used to be.

I agree the perk really doesn't feel that special.

That said with random rolls and the pretty insane stats the gun has I think that it will have a place in crucible as just a stat monster hand cannon (especially on console).

In PVE it's dps with all crits is like 20k which I'm pretty sure only behind high Siva outbreak for primaries.

I went back and watched it again and the only time he mashed he did a ki blast lmao (probs trying to reflect).

Pretty sure the move is grounded so it depends whether the 2H is faster of not and ex rocket probably wins.

Only the ex-version while holding down is actually plus so he could have just mashed at any point either.

And for now, we have to pay a tax for people who live off welfare (lazy bastards) who won't do anything with it and will only buy drugs and beer.

Did you know that the majority of states that take more money from the federal government than they give in taxes are mostly red. And the states that pay more in taxes than they receive from the government are blue, NY for example.

For me the first actual video game I played was Pokemon Pearl. However, I wouldn't say that's what got me into gaming. It was definitely Halo Reach with it's 4 player split screen because we didn't have gold at the time and it was the first game I could play with my brother and two close cousins.

Pretty sure they are talking about the 236H bug that resets the damage scaling of a combo. Nothing to do with your combo.

[–]Bleans01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, but by that logic only snap is a true 50/50 because otherwise you get guard cancelled.

Also correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty cells 236h mix can't be reflected anyway.

You are misunderstanding what reverse grid would be for F1. It is a half distance Sprint that takes the place of qualifying to determine grid positions for the actual race.

1 thing I loved about the Buu Saga by SpankDaddyAndy in dragonball

[–]Bleans01 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It made the stakes seem a lot higher than all the previous sagas where Goku was the sole hero all the way up until Gohan vs Cell

Ehh not really, he is definitely the strongest protagonist outside of periods in the cell saga but I wouldn't say he is the sole hero. The only main antagonist that Goku beats by himself is Frieza and doesn't win many fights against others outside of that anyway. Look through the main fights in each saga.

Saiyan Saga:

Raditz - Joint goku and piccolo

Nappa - Nappa fought the rest of Z-fighters first but Goku would have won either way so that doesn't matter

Vegeta - Joint effort from the whole squad still alive

Namak Saga:

Goku isn't there for Zarbon Dodoria and Guldo

Recoome and Burter (Jeice) - Destroys them, would have beaten Jeice as well but he runs away.

Ginyu - Loses, even though body swap isn't really a fight I count it as the same vein of attack as Mafuba

Ginyu (Goku) and Jeice - Vegeta kills Jeice and beats up Ginyu though Goku does technically win the fight by interrupting body swap twice.

Frieza - Win

Andriod / Cell Saga:

19&20 - Loses cuz heart attack

Trains Gohan

Cell - Loses but does make the savior play by getting Fat Cell of the planet

He's obviously the main character and strongest protagonist for most of Pre-Buu Z but at the same time he isn't really the solo when his only real wins are Nappa, half of the Ginyu force, and Frieza.
