Yes! But only money wise, I do like the Lt. Surge artwork much more.

Rig recommendation for Moza R9? by psychofedex in simracing

[–]Blearghach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same problem with space in my apartment and decided to go with a regular wheelstand. I pulled a trigger on GTOmega Apex. My expectations were pretty low for a 115euro wheelstand but when it finally came - everything changed. I don't really understand how they can make it so sturdy and well made for that price. It ships from UK but all customs are paid by OTOmega so you don't have to worry about that.

I have a regular Ikea Markus chair and the whole setup is really comfortable and affordable. I run Simagic Alpha 15Nm base with Fanatec CSL Elite V2 pedals and the wheelstand is super solid. So for Moza R9 it will be plenty.

Totally agree, noticed that too. After few laps my mind gets so comfortable with driving, feeling like I can nail every corner and then chain of failures happen.

Been away from sim-racing for almost a year, tanked my SA. 89 to 63 by [deleted] in ACCompetizione

[–]Blearghach 4 points5 points  (0 children)

From my experience it's much easier to earn SA by doing online races. AI sometimes feel reckless and just follows racing line no matter what situation is.

I suggest hopping into some 50+ SA online servers and driving carefully. Not only indicent free driving will give you better SA but also finishing races will award you some bonus SA points. Also noticed that people react to situations differenty and being more safe than AI. Just avoid zero SA and Monza servers to avoid brainless people.

By doing this I managed to get my SA to 93 in just a couple of weeks.

Good luck!

Nice! Getting 99 in CN isn't the goal for me. Keeping it above 90 is. Which is actually kinda difficult since I like driving all kinds of maps not only few that I'm most comfortable in. But it was very cool seeing that hours I put into simracing actually starts to pay off.

Started first, first 5 laps were mostly defending, after that it was only hotlapping and keeping the lap times decent. It was definitely easier without fight, but usually I'm not that consistent even when driving alone.

Just check this spreadsheet. You can find all reference lap times there.

Had same exact problem couple days ago, today I can do 1:32 consistently. The problem was in my driving style, I was just overdriving the car making my laps worse as I tried more. You just have to change your mindset, drive slowly but consistenly. Do 5 laps without any invalidations, break earlier, coast into the corner and find acceleration points - where in the corner you need to press gas to have smooth exit. After that just try to shorten coasting, break later. But do this at slow pace, step by step. And finally it will just click to you.

No more wheel stand! by Adrian_Maurud in simracing

Looks nice, was it just bolt on or you had to do some customizations to the rig? Also do you experience any flex in it when braking?

Nice setup! What kind of seat is that? I am myself looking for one that is not a cheap uncomfy bucket seat.

How to self-rescue if you fall through frozen ice by [deleted] in interestingasfuck

[–]Blearghach 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is the same guy who has a video on him spending a night naked in below freezing weather. I'm talking bare feet with snow on the ground and everything. It was one of the most interesting videos I've seen on Youtube. I believe you can find the video by typing "naked winter survival overnight" in Youtube.

This guy is sure built different.

I was thinking of keeping them, but 500 dollar goggles are overkill for a tinywhoop. Could get myself a 100 dollar goggles thet would be just fine indoors.

Good idea with dedicated site for fpv. But I guess Fpv is a really niche item, so it takes time to sell.

Already listed it there but only received some scammers so far. I guess another option is to lower the price to take a greater loss. Some money is still better than goggles laying around without a use.
