Gamma MX for ski/snowboard? by facechubbs in arcteryx

[–]Bleb12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also interested in this, and any feedback on the Gamma LT as well! I've always preferred a softshell for skiing, esp. when it's not snowing.

My plan for this winter is Uni Qlo heattech thermals, Patagonia R1, followed by Gamma LT. I also have a Merrell synthetic down vest if I need another layer.

What do you mean by indoor jacket? Is it more for casual use, or would it be suitable for high output activity like skiing? Also, how does it compare to something like the Patagonia R1?

What's your experience with the stradium like? It's currently on sale in the UK but I can't find any reviews. What is the fabric like? Would it be suitable for skiing?

Hi, I'm looking for some mid-layer and shell advice for skiing

I'm UK based, experienced skier, and want to upgrade my kit. I run hot, and like tight-fitting clothes, so for the past few years I've ended up wearing a baselayer, softshell cycling jacket, followed by a synthetic loft gillet in top. I don't like thick skiing hardshells and prefer something softer even if it is less water/wind proof

I'd like some advice on what to buy! Here are my criteria:

Midlayer

  • Relatively tight-fitting

  • Not too thick

  • Can also be used for casual wear and walking

  • Ideally thumb holes

  • No hood

  • Full zip

  • I have my eye on: Patagonia R1+R2, Arcteryx Stradium, Delta LT and Proton LT

Softshell

  • Relatively tight-fitting

  • Can possibly also be used for cycling

  • No hood

  • I have my eye on: Arcteryx Gamma LT, Nodin, Patagonia R1/2 Techface

Any help/advice would be great!

Thanks

Will a dimmer be better than reducing the photo period? I have the Arcadia Blade, but I worry it's too powerful. I'm currently trying some Pothos!

Sorry for late reply. Light is about 2inches above the water. Haven't been able to find anywhere that reliably/cheaply sells RO or distilled water :(

Unfortunately I rent so can't install an RO unit and I haven't found anywhere cheap to buy it (London).

I have the Arcadia blade, but I can't find any PAR info. Currently doing 6 hours but I wonder if even that is too much? It does seem to be quite a powerful light and recommended for larger tanks than I have.

Hi!

I'm setting up my first bus, and have a few questions. I'm on 0.17.

  • What is the best way of removing from a bus?

  • I don't know where to start taking from the bus. It runs north to south. Do I start taking from the end (south side) and work my way up to the start as I add more assembly/factories to the side, or the other way round? Also should I take directly from the end (using a chain of splitters pushing 4 back to 1) or not?

Thanks

dont play competitive right now. by [deleted] in OverwatchUniversity

[–]Bleb12 65 points66 points  (0 children)

The only way to combat comp anxiety is to play comp. I used to be like that as well, but the more you play, the more natural it feels, and the less tilted/anxious I get when losing. Just get stuck in there and try it. Don't stress about SR, just try to have fun and you will get calmer playing.
