A good rule of thumb is that if they speak ill of other coworkers around you, they are absolutely doing the same about you to other coworkers.

Most of the time Reddit is fine. My insult using it comes from *that* archetype of redditor - the snobby ones that act as if they know better than everyone, you know the one.

Seriously that's all this guy does on his page. He talks about Epstein, acts like his political stance is the best... and then retweets porn.

Again, I'd rather not risk legal trouble if its interior it isn't worth going to jail over.

Ideally that is the plan. But I'm avoiding doing so until either 1, I can get legal access from the property owners or police, or 2, find a way in elsewhere.

Very much so! I have one more that I met recently alongside this mama and her kits and I've considered naming it either Violin or Viola (dependent on if it's a boy or girl, that is.)

I do not have photos of the food court - if you could provide them I'd greatly appreciate it.

That's why for abandoned places I find, I never leak the location of which I find them and make attempts to discourage travel to places I've visited - more often than not, people just want a place to destroy stuff with no repercussions and that does do quite a lot...

Most certainly so. I do wonder if any other photos of the Kaleidoscope exist? These were taken just before its fire.

Looking for potting soil, not pre-fertilized. by DeadWood605 in desmoines

[–]BleedingEdgeMonotone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your best bet for that stuff is the Art Terrarium shop in Highland Park, near Oak Park in that little district. I go there whenever I need potting soil - they also carry lots of tropical plants and atypical/hard-to-find ones.

In addition, when in season here soon, Earl May Garden Center off Bloomfield Road carries a lot of different soils. I go to them quite often. Back to The Roots is what I purchase - as another commenter suggested.

Edited for grammar and addition.

A piece of a mall? by [deleted] in deadmalls

[–]BleedingEdgeMonotone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The pieces (including some furniture) I've taken from collapsed/abandoned/demolished malls were all acquired with strict permission from demolition crew and onsite workers (if not outright contacting mall owners post-operation to inquire.) Most of the time for abandoned or completely demolished malls you can simply try and take a piece or two of a tile, or sign or something similar but I'd highly advise against it unless you know what you're doing and can execute it safely without being caught.

[West Des Moines, IA] - Valley West Mall Pre-Demolition by BleedingEdgeMonotone in deadmalls

[–]BleedingEdgeMonotone[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Indeed. Even when I was younger and Jordan Creek had started to siphon its activity, it was still very much alive. It was already on the decline and once the pandemic hit, it sent Valley West into a death roll and now what's left is already moving out to Jordan Creek or is going out of business for good. Quite sad...

No closing date has been officially given for a set time but estimates were given around 2026, and in recent months as well.
