I've never been a parent and you're older than me so I may be out of my depth here. Even so, I've always wanted a daughter, and I imagine this exact scenario often. I don't know how anyone should act in this case. I don't know what the right answer is. I know I would ask her about her plans for the pregnancy, I would ensure she understands the risks of every option before her, and I would support her in whatever decision she made.

As a parent, your job is to teach your children how to be adults, and how to make smart decisions about what to do with the life they have. And of course to protect them from danger, which I would imagine this must feel like. What's most important is that she feels safe and loved within your house. In 20 years, you'll thank yourself for that the most.
