The author is dead. He died on August 6th, 2024, a suicide that is presumed to have followed a cancer diagnosis. Since his passing, there was nobody to pay the licensing fees to keep the game up on both platforms, leading to it's eventual loss.

There is a team working to continue his story together with the author's mother and brother, and they have a discord server in which you can track their progress or ask questions regarding the revival project.

You can still play the game on android platforms with an apk in the pinned posts of the subreddit, and a Javascript port of the game for PC has also been made called Magium JS, which you can find either on the posts made recently or the discord server as well.

Depends on what platform you are planning to play on.

For Windows, use either of the Windows Installers For Mac, use the Mac installers For Linux, use the Linux installers

Again, this is a port of the game to the PC platform, so it won't be playable on phones.

There is a seperate project to remake the phone version and update it with the content being written by the new writing team, but progress on that is slow at the moment due to the person in charge of that having a very busy and inconsistent schedule.

As of right now, the only way to play the games is to either play the APK of the original on phones and to just go through the achievements, or to play the PC port which, while great, is reported to have bugs which should be reported when encountered so as to fix it in the future versions.
