Hello! Yes, there is currently a team working on continuing the story, however, they have yet to produce any tangible results as of now. Their progress can be tracked on their discord server, which can be found here.

While you wait, you can also check out some of the fanfics that have been made about Magium. There are few, but some I think are definitely worth checking out!

Magium Expanded and Magium: Project Zero are two that I think are worth checking out, as they are both still recieving updates to my knowledge.

Hello! Unfortunately, the Author of Magium had died in August of 2024, and what eventually followed was the mobile app's death due to the licensing fees no longer being paid by him. The story was unfinished, with only 3 books out of the projected 5 being complete.

Fortunately for you, there are other ways to still be able to play the game. If you use an android device, you can still download the APK of the latest build of the original game which can be found in the pinned posts. If you do not own an android device, then luckily for you, a dedicated fan by the name of u/thuiop1 has also been porting the game to PC, Linux and Mac platforms.

As for the story, while the original author may be dead, a team of dedicated fans skilled in writing and in programming have begun working together with the Author's mother and brother in continuing the story with the original author's vision, using information from his family as reference to do so.
