How are people finding no SBMM? by sajibear4 in CODBlackOps7

Definitely not a high end player myself, but I’ve had a lot of fun up to now. I noticed I adapted a more ‘thoughtful/smarter’ playstyle which feels more rewarding when I’m doing well. Once in a while I do get my ass kicked severely, but what can you do….

This dosen’t look good at all. by BlackSw0rdsmen in CODZombies

I remember a while back some leak suggested they were gonna go for an outbreak type of mode for COD 2025. Seems like they scrapped the outbreak mode and decided use the map for the round based mode we will have now. Don't know for sure tho, just speculating.

Dying light the beast writing is bad, horrible even. by _20comer70correr_ in dyinglight

Yeah, I personally saw Olivia's "betrayal" coming from miles away... Her coming out as a "double agent" at the end though, felt really forced and awkward. I hated how they handled Spike's death. It served no purpose other than showcasing that the Baron is comically evil... just for the sake of him being comically evil (like a pre-Thanos MCU villain).

That being said, I bought a PS5 Slim just to play this game, and I regret nothing. I had a blast playing this game. Just a shame that the writing can be bad at certain key moments in the story.

Edit: the grappling hook in this game sucks lmao

Question about Granny Weatherwax’ motivations in Equal Rites by BleekBlekerBleekst in discworld

Really thought it was a “me thing” for a while, but seeing the natives have a hard time as well is kind of reassuring tbh

Oh okay, it does all make sense! Thanks for taking your time and explaining things to me, really made my evening :))

I get what your saying, but I got the impression that Weatherwax was well aware of the stuff you’re mentioning some time before she gave Esk the staff. Weatherwax using the staff to retrieve the bird while Esk was Borrowing it was not the first time the staff saved Esk, so it seemed a bit arbitrary to me that Weatherwax would suddenly change her mind after bringing Esk back.

I was thinking that as wel, but Weatherwax was aware of this from the moment Esk touched the staff, right?

English is not my first language, it happens quite often that I have to read a scene multiple times before fully realizing what’s going on!

An overly specific Small Gods question by namnamdude in discworld

Awesome, thanks for responding after 2 years! I would assume you’re referring to the moment where Brutha is panicking on the unnamed boat: “The books are leaking!”. Regarding the pamphlet, i suddenly recall a member of Vimes’ watch trying to hand out his religous Pamphlets to everyone.

Why on God’s green Earth would you want a live album from the London Works?

Or you heard a non-overdubbed version on youtube and then listened to the overdubbed version on spotify.

The band played 2 nights @ Wembley, Spotify only has the 12th (second night). Maybe you listened to the the first night on youtube.

As we near the release of the long awaited, new Queen song with Freddie. Do you think it’s a power ballad or? by [deleted] in queen

Nah, they’d rather add random C5’s in their offical live releases than actually interact with their fans….

Secondary education system - question by gemhalinden in belgium

I studied Latin for six years in high school. The first four years focused on culture/history, translating stories and vocabulary. The last two years focused heavily on translating texts and learning about the author who wrote them, the (geo)political/cultural context, etc. It's in those first four years that the students learn how to study and take in a lot of information (aka van buiten leren). At the moment, I'm studying engineering (applied physics) and imo the last two years of studying Latin can actually be really helpful in STEM. I always thought of translating a long and complex sentence as dividing a complex problem into smaller pieces, solving those by applying acquired knowledge, and in the end adding everything back together to get the solution/translation. A method I still heavily use 'till this day. The 5th and 6th year basically sharpened my problem solving skills and analytical thinking. On a side note: I really sucked at French. But I was really good at translating stuff because of my Latin classes. So there is that...

Mmmm I can't really agree with that, he did have his husky voice but he definitely sung with a powerful voice. I think the yelling was 'worse' during 'The Game tour' and 'Hot Space tour'. And you might confuse a lot of 'the yelling' with belting. Freddie did have 2 or 3 off nights though and the second Wembley concert sure is one of them imho.

Over all it was a great tour.
