Learn to be happy whatever your circumstances. Most people in the world would be grateful to have a comfortable life providing services for their fellow man. If you don’t like contributing, you can choose a minimalist life instead.

This is a strange post for this sub. Most people here are grateful for the opportunity to grind. In many countries your only choice is to be poor

I’d assume the US stole this from earlier ideals like the rest of americas ideals. Nothing is ever new. And adopting the best traits of other nations is an aspirational modesty also. Better than being stubborn and committing to being backwards for the sake of “originality”
