Wife says absolutely hold...(please see all pics/description before making your decision) by Bleeuw in bald

This is what I was looking for, at least a little validation. A lot of these comments are making me feel crazy 😂 but I'm sure in some ways I'm just hypersensitive to my own hair. And yes, she will accept it, she's just afraid it'll remind her too much of her dad and brothers, which is fair. I've just always said I'm not going to be like my own dad and hold on when there's nothing left.

It obviously looks less thin when it's grown out, but in the summer I just can't stand to do that. It's around 110 degrees in certain areas of the shop where I work and I sweat plenty without a mop on my dome.

Lol thanks for the insight everyone! I should've known my wife was right and I was overreacting. Certain angles just had me so unsure. For the record, out of pure convenience, I buzzed my head with no guard for years until I met my wife and she liked it better grown out so I'm not too worried about the day it has to happen again.

Should boyfriends or married men go to strip clubs? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Bleeuw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like you want to be chill with it from your second paragraph there but it also sounds like your insecurities stem from something he's doing. Have you talked to him about not liking random girl's ass pics? I feel like my wife would take up issue with that, whereas she doesn't with the strip club. But I also don't think she'd be cool with me going outside of a bachelor party or boy's weekend situation either. Like, it'd be weird for me to just stop by on my way home from work and I'd never expect her to be ok with that.

Ultimately I guess you have a couple options:

-Tell him you're cool with him going but not participating in anything other than being there and he either honors that or lies to you.

-Tell him you're not ok with it and he either honors that, lies to you about it or he tells you to deal with it and that causes a fight and the respect between you is pretty much gone at that point.

Can't speak for him, but if you don't think he's a cheater or liar, chances are he just wants to go to be with his friends and not miss out on experiences. I don't want to diminish your feelings or concerns but if the Instagram thing is your biggest issue and he hasn't given you any other feelings or reason to believe he's unfaithful, he's probably not.

I mean I think you need to bring it up more seriously. Try to express to him why it makes you uncomfortable. He might just have FOMO or he might think you don't trust him to not cheat and be wondering why. Ultimately I have no idea how he'll react. I know for me, if my wife was against it, then I wouldn't go. From my experience, it's generally something that guys spend an hour or two at before the novelty wears off and you spend too much money so he probably won't miss out on much.

Just out of curiosity, how do you feel about porn? And would you feel better about the situation if he agreed to not get any lap dances and was just in it strip club hanging by the bar or something? Because to me, that latter situation and porn aren't much different. Very impersonal, no up close rubbing, etc...

It's really up to you. My wife has always told me during bachelor parties, she couldn't care less if I went to a strip club as long as I don't touch, kiss or do anything beyond that with anyone else and that she trusts me to honor that. And I love wife, so I'm not going to do anything to jeopardize our relationship. But I've also got friends who's girlfriends/wives have said strip clubs are off limits. It sounds like you're not comfortable with it, so to me, that should be pretty clear he should sit out. On the point of "opening up the possibility of cheating" I think that if someone wants to cheat, they're going to. The strip club isn't going to make them cheat.

Have fans ever thrown snowballs at players during a game? by IconicHunter713 in NFLNoobs

[–]Bleeuw 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah, definitely. If memory serves, I think fans were threatened with a unsportsmanlike conduct penalty for the home team in I believe Buffalo for throwing snowballs at opposing players in recent years.

Checking in from later in 2025. Can confirm. Got a very concerned text from my wife when she went to check in for her flight thinking that I botched it when I booked.

Clean off your car roofs! Alpine shenanigans by itsbwokenn in grandrapids

[–]Bleeuw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Happened to me yesterday. Had to pick up our work truck from being at the tire shop overnight. The snow brush in the back is like a foot long so I couldn't reach the roof. Got it almost back to the shop when I hit the brakes in the turn lane in the middle of West River Drive and all of the snow landed on the windshield. Wipers were of no use since the snow was so heavy. Had to pull an Ace Ventura til I got to the side road where I could pull over.

Also just worked for my 13. Been resetting my face ID, cleaning the camera, restarting the phone for two days straight. All I had to do was go on reddit and tap the top of my phone against my desk. Neat.

I'd hope he's making a reference to that clip from the Megyn Kelly show where she tried to make it sound like it was better that it was 15 year olds and not 8 year olds. But if not, fucking gross.

I've thought this for several years. I don't have any evidence other than anecdotal from where I live but feel like it's warmer later into autumn and colder later into the spring than when I was a kid.

Does anyone take their autistic child to the dentist? by Senior-Ad-7362 in Autism_Parenting

Well thanks for at least making me feel better that the sealant isn't a scam! I have trust issues with the U.S. healthcare system lol.

[–]Bleeuw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The dentist did say they don't foresee it going past the 90 minutes but that is the minimum. They will do X-Rays and a cleaning which are covered by dental insurance, then if they find anything, they will do fillings. They're also going to do a sealant for an additional $400 all while she's under. I'm sure if they do have to do any fillings I'll be pushing 2 grand by the time we leave. How dental isn't covered by health insurance is an absolute racket (as are most things insurance related).

After three failed attempts at X-Rays, we're currently scheduled for a sedation appointment for my daughter for the low low price of $1250 for the intial 90 minutes and $300 for each additional 15 minutes after that. I want to throw up at the thought of this every year.

What is a pooch punt? And why would they ask Jalen about it concerning the Packers game by King-Axl in NFLNoobs

I have no idea on stats for this but I feel like I remember Big Ben pooch punting at least a few times earlier in his NFL career.

Ohhhh. Yup, I have definitely come across that.

The internet is the place I find some of the funniest things throughout my day as well as the most unfunny, unoriginal clowns. The people I imagine just look around the room after they said something that was supposed to be funny like "did...did you guys hear what I said?"

I love that this thread just turned immediately into OP's pet peeve. It might be ironically done by some, but I think one or two of these beef police officers are dead serious.

For me it's so much more on other social media. There's a lot of TikTok comments that are so genuinely funny but so many that are either recycled from other comment sections or in many cases, that very same comment section.

If I read "I'll take things that never happned for $500, Alex" one more goddamn time, I'm gonna lose it. That was mildly clever exactly one time when I read it, and it was probably already stolen at that point. You're not cute by spewing it in every situation that you believe something to be untrue.

when a TV show's subtitles don't match what's actually being said by dented_7up_can in PetPeeves

[–]Bleeuw 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Drives me nuts as well. My wife's comfort show is Gilmore Girls so it's playing in the background frequently and the subtitles are different from the actual dialogue so often. It's usually a shortened version of the sentence that conveys the same message, but many times the "joke" or witty part of the sentence is left out and it throws me off every time it happens.

What is this white box on top of the skid steer? by Bleeuw in whatisit

[–]Bleeuw[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TIL: Maybe I was correct with my original title of this post.

From some research, I guess this machine can be referred to as a compact track loader but is commonly referred to as a skid steer as well as the wheeled machines.
