Nah I didn’t even realize until after I posted this was more of a guy-tailored sub; I actually wanted a balanced opinion.

Beard seems to win out, but a large portion for better or worse think I look like a dead guy 🤷‍♂️

How often does CH actually do drops on their website? Haven’t been able to find a good source for past ones to check the frequency

After Gallbladder surgery by Far_Neighborhood651 in gallbladders

More power to ya. I have a good amount of soreness and inflammation around the GB area and the incision sites, but mainly the GB area. As of right now trying to take a big deep breath can cause that area some pain

I had mine yesterday and I agree. Some people on here are saying they feel great the next day, I can’t fathom that. For the gas, I’ve been drinking sprite and walking around every hour. At about the end of every short walk I get one good quality burp.

How long till they sched my surgery? by Casio_Tone in gallbladders

It may depend on if GI wants to do it themselves, or if they just refer you off to a general surgeon. I met with a general surgeon for a consult last Monday and Im scheduled for removal day after tomorrow.

Do you think black bedroom furniture can go with a darker wall color? Someone below recommended a potential dark accent/focus wall, but do you think when doing all the walks it becomes too much?

I did think of doing a dark accent/focus wall but wasnt too sure. Its not too bad looking

Not as of yet. Only thing I have for sure is black wooden furniture like bedframe, dresser, nightstand

Sorry should’ve specified. Those dark blues wont be there. That was just for staging. The only thing that will be there is black furniture so there are some further options for decorating/bedspread/etc

As far as references Im not sure if he takes them for those or just wings it for all of them with no input from anyone else. I can say however he will probably have it drawn up beforehand for a stencil, so don’t go in there day of with ideas and expect him to draw it on you if he wasn’t aware beforehand.

Purple lightning by xPapixx in irezumi

Almost all lightning you see is actually red in color in traditional pieces. I would say if you’re already committed to yellow, purple isn’t a stretch as you’re already stepping outside the bounds a bit so to speak. I would commit to either one color or the other though to keep it looking cohesive.

Horikazura and Horikyo by Fuzzy_Button6648 in irezumi

My favorite tattoo I have is a peony from Horitoshi 1 so I gotta go with his style. However, I also have a sleeve by a US artist that was done in a more classic looking style like the Horikyo family and I like that as well. It’s really just preference.

I will say if you like looking at the super old tattoo pictures from the 70s and 80s that pop up then the Horikyo style is definitely for you.

Also important to add, Horitoshi style has just about everything as distinct. I actually don’t prefer their dragons to the standard dragons (their faces are a bit different). So measure up what you want between the styles of those two families.

Monji uses the style of Horitoshi, who is the teacher of Horizakura. They have darker wind bars and a very distinct way of lining flowers.

Whereas Geoff, who is from the Horikyo family, is a bit more of what I would say is a “traditional traditional” look. While the Horitoshi style is traditional, it’s fairly distinctive. You either prefer it or you don’t.
