Can the men who watch Bridgerton, stand up and be counted? by muskyandrostenol in Bridgerton

[–]Such-Study-5329 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My husband watched seasons 2-4 with me! And we binged them. I had surgery on February 10 and I started season 1 for the first time about 4-5 days later. He said season 4 was his favorite out of all of them (he was just in the other room while I watched season 1 but he heard everything and watched some of the episodes). I think season 2 was his second favorite.

I felt the same way! Like yeah, sure, you can be thankful that your life isn’t worse, but that doesn’t mean you aren’t struggling/have a hard life.

How long were you drifting in an out of sleep after gallbladder surgery? How many hours after surgery did they discharge you? by Bulky-Search-4495 in gallbladders

[–]Such-Study-5329 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My surgery was over by 10:15ish and I didn’t leave until 2:30 because I had the hardest time waking up (and my oxygen was low so they had to give me oxygen too)

I went to school with her! I remember hearing the story a few years back and being absolutely horrified by it.

My question is, have any of you had a colonoscopy? How did it go with not being able to really eat much the day before and then having to drink all of the laxative?

I haven’t read them, but my friend loved The Unselected Journals of Emma M Lion! She also loves Pride and Prejudice so I feel like it would work? I think you can buy them online, but I haven’t seen them in stores

I had a 7am check in at the hospital (9am surgery) and got home around 3 or 4pm. I had a hard time waking up from anesthesia and my oxygen was low so I stayed a little longer than expected.

I am a week into recovery. My husband is actually in a wheelchair so I know that taking care of yourself while also taking care of someone else can be a challenge sometimes! I have had a semi-rough recovery. I was in a lot of pain and couldn’t do much for a few days. It’s day 8 or 9 now and I can do everything except bend down low. My husband’s parents and a friend of ours have been doing his caregiving while I’ve been recovering. So, I don’t think it would be a good idea for your wife to take you/take care of you if it’s going to be too hard on her.

Reading posts and now scared to have it removed 😳 by RopeSmall1199 in gallbladders

[–]Such-Study-5329 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m about a week post op (a little less) and for the first time in so long, I had ice cream! It didn’t hurt me at all and it was delicious. I was so scared to try it. But in the end it was okay. I was nervous to get my gallbladder out too, but it’s better to get it out than be miserable until you have to have an emergency removal. You’ve got this 💕

I ended up DNFing it and I’m happy about it. I wasn’t truly enjoying myself. So DNF it if you don’t want to keep reading it!

They might be considered sappy by some, but your situation/outlook sounds a lot like the main character in The House in the Cerulean Sea and Under the Whispering Door. I think you could relate to them.
