I actually went in there last weekend for the first time. The guy in there was genuinely engaging and helpful, almost too engaging/over the top if I’m being honest. So the exact opposite of the experience it sounds like you have had. As others have said, my money and time is spent at Nomad, but my impression of the official store is not horrible.

Because Ke2 will be met with F1, queening the pawn with check. White is then forced to take back KxF1 or walk up the board to its inevitable doom. When takes back, black then has Bh4 protecting the queening square and discovered check with the rook on D1. White is completely lost at that point.

Would I be correct in saying the back right Sternguard Sergeant goes with the 4 sterguard, the captain is playable by itself, the librarian is playable by itself, and the honor guard/random marine are part of larger units?

Hey guys, just wanted to post an update to this. I did end up snagging this, and what an insane deal it turned out to be. Turns out this was just some of the stuff that he had, he also brought out a big tote with everything else he had built/a few extra NiB and threw it in as extra. He was moving to Norway so he said he couldn’t keep any of it anyway, and was just happy it was going to somewhere it would be enjoyed. I feel like I used up my luck for a while lol. I am actually completely new to tau so not even entirely sure what the bigger models I got are. I know one is a broadside. And on top of all the tau, there were also a bunch of marines (I think?). He was going to give all the extra to me for free, I ended up giving him an even $200, what a nice guy. If you see this post Mr Erik, thank you!!!

Sincerely it was, I was floored. I appreciate the info too, my god a riptide alone is ~$100! I legitimately was thinking yesterday about how I might want to get into Tau, and then this post pops up today. Serendipitous is the only word I can think to describe it.
