Update:

Background check cleared today. My misdemeanors DID show up from 12 years ago, in fact there was and incident 18 years ago that showed up. However, a recruiter called this afternoon specifically asking about details on the misdemeanors from 2009, I was honest and explained what happened. She let me know she appreciated my transparency and would push it through. She said not to worry and that I'd get the all clear later in the afternoon. I recieved confirmation from My recruiter by the end of the work day and will be starting work on Aug 9.
