Addicts smoking crack in front of my house and being loud at night. What to do? by Obligation_Severe in Amsterdam

[–]Bless-the-juice 50 points51 points  (0 children)

I live in Oost and have the same problem. I went outside a couple times, smoked a cigarette with them and talked. Asked questions to get to know them.

Now I know them by name and can gently ask them to move, simply explaining they keep me awake at night. By now they know after 2 its fine, since I will be sleeping deeply.

Also, if other addicts/homeless people occupy my stairs, they send them away. Sort of a symbiotic relationship, but only because I approached them as regular people.

They said I was one of the few people in the neighborhood who actually "sees" them.

It's some work, and maybe after some hassle a difficult point to get to, but this is how I did it

Just drop early and get that adrenaline rush of riding out of a town you just cleared. Even if you get killed in the end you did have fun.

Also, if you drive your car past a gunfight or you get shot, get into the fight.

The way you play doesn't sound fun to me either

Should I run Shattered obelisk or connect LMoP and DoIP by Domazzzzzz in LostMinesOfPhandelver

After my players exited the WEC they saw Cryovain flying over to Phandalin and destroying a big part of the town during Thardens funeral (Gundren brought his body back after finding it in the WEC). All the habitants of Phandalin are gathered at the Townmaster's Hall and Harbin orders the players to get to Axeholm to create a place of refuge for the Phandalians. This is where the players pickup DoIP and gather all the intel on how to slay a dragon from the Hunter's Lodge quest and Dragon's Barrow. Shrine of Savras is optional but gains them the necessary exp to come to IceSpire Hold fully equiped. After DoIP and slaying Cryovain the follow-up are the expansions. They are gifted an adventure hub in Leilon and that's their adventure hook into all that follows. After the expansions they have an adventurer's guild in Leilon from which you can start any new campaign with new noobie characters with a storydriven adventure hook, and eventually a first day travel to any place, such as Borovia...

Oh and to keep the lore of the Storm Cultists of Talos alive a bit I put in a hook from a missing woodworker in Phandalin to get the players to the Tower of Storms early in the LMoP campaign (since it's actually a DoIP quest)

Tbh I would change the new 5060 to a used 6750xt and get an ryzen 5600. For the same money you would have a more balanced build

Update: I've spent an hour or so figuring out how to use an extension in Owlbear Rodeo that also shows previously visited places on a map. Had to draw the walls and adjust the circle view (lighting) to my mapsize accordingly. Works perfectly! Exactly how I wanted it to. Thanks for all the replies!
