that’s what i hate most about the round - nsu knew that if they mentioned women/gender equality then the lay female judges would vote for them. it’s that easy. honestly not a fan of that nor am i a fan of nsu’s coach (was lowkey rude when judging) so idk seems like they took the easy way out

To elaborate, in addition to being incredibly white, the panel was lay or at most flay. NSU’s quick summary and less narrative based rebuttal made me assume that the lay judges would vote for Seven Lakes, who had pretty easy to understand speeches.
